| Thank You for your prayers I posted this in the original thread, but wanted to start a new thread also, so it didn't get lost. Thank You all for your thoughts and prayers. I am finally able to have a few moments to myself. My daughters have been here helping me so I could spend as much time as possible at the hospital My husband made it through the surgery OK. He is doing well. They removed his leg at mid thigh, so not much is left. they wanted to go where there was good blood flow to improve the chances of healing. His heart was a major concern, but it did fine. He has some pain, of course, but not nearly as much as he was having before the surgery. Now that the surgery is behind us we can start to move forward. He has a lot of hard work before he'll be strong enough to come home. The Lord has given us the strength to make it this far, I think we can make it through the rest of it. Thanks again Jeanie |

but I took care of my late uncle and he has both legs amputated and he was blind ... he had prostheses but after a while he stopped using them ... He lived more than 20 years that way .... and he also had a stroke ... Life was not fair to him at all. He passed away a year before my daughter was born and I named her after him ... bless your heart! good thoughts to your hubby also ....

| Somehow I missed the original thread but will keep all of you in my prayers. I know it will be hard. My husbands best friend had his leg amputated and he did really good. Will keep y'all in my thoughts. Patty |
