My husband made it through the surgery OK. He is doing well. They removed his leg at mid thigh, so not much is left. they wanted to go where there was good blood flow to improve the chances of healing.

Oh Jeanie, my prayers are with you ... it's a long road you face but it can be done. I know it is easy for me to say,
but I took care of my late uncle and he has both legs amputated
and he was blind ... he had prostheses but after a while he stopped using them ...

He lived more than 20 years that way .... and he also had a stroke ... Life was not fair to him at all.

He passed away a year before my daughter was born and I named her after him ...
