| My hair feels like hay! This is the first time in my life that my hair has been so long, I'd really like to keep it long for a while more but it is so dry. I have curly hair, Any thoughts on what I can put on it to make it healthier. Thanks! |

I bought products called Alter Ego. They are PRICEY (I couldnt believe I bought them) but the hairdresser was my friends mom so I didnt feel like she was upselling to me at all. They were $25/each. But the bottles are HUGE. I am not sure where the product is from, there is NO english on the bottles. Also regular hair cuts helps a lot with this. Here is the link to Alter Ego products http://www.ibeautyny.com/goods_detail.asp?goodsIdx=3638 - shampoo http://www.ibeautyny.com/goods_detail.asp?goodsIdx=3639 - conditioner Oh Ive also been told .. if you blow dry or flat iron (which I do) use something in your hair, dont do it with nothing in your hair... get a product that coats your hair and protects it from heat damage... and LASTLY.... Ive heard this a bunch of times in the past... products like paul mitchell from a drug store are not as good as buying from a salon. Salons do not pre-purchase tons of product. When they run low they buy more. It has more of the active ingredient and is healthier for your hair. Drugstores can buy a year or more supply of products and they just sit in a room that is hot & cold & hot & cold year round, causing the deactivation of the active ingredients. Also age of products affects the active ingredients. So buy from a salon. Good Luck!!

| read the ingredient list of your shampoo. i find infusium works for me and the 2nd ingredient listed isn't some form of alcohol. i know that pantene, herbal ess, and finesse have alcohol listed. (i like the pantene conditioners tho) also, are you getting enough fatty oils in your diet? i know that sounds crazy, but it could help!! |

| oh yeah and if you can get away with it, wash your hair only every other day if not longer (I can get away with only washing 2x a week thats how dry my hair and scalp are) but when it starts to get greasy run your fingers through it a lot... let the grease & oil (natural) coat your hair all the way down for a day before you wash. I know that sounds gross, but its like natures conditioner! I promise it works!

Lol! I am soooo just kidding! I already try to wait as long as I can between shampooing, but I'll try that oil trick.

| When my hair gets dry I put hair mayonaise and a raw egg on it and I put a shower cap on and keep it on over night. I get the hair mayonaise at CVS pharmacy
