ok, my whole life Ive battled with curly, frizzy, dry hair. Ive got it under control over the last couple years, but its still REALLY dry! Its fairly long too. I just went to the hairdresser last night and she was appalled at how dry it was. SWORE up & down that shampoo & conditioner make a world of difference. Also to not rinse all the conditioner out, keep a little in your hair (im talking regular conditioner not leave in) and do not use mousse. Its loaded with alcohol and dries your hair out badly.

I bought products called Alter Ego. They are PRICEY (I couldnt believe I bought them) but the hairdresser was my friends mom so I didnt feel like she was upselling to me at all. They were $25/each. But the bottles are HUGE. I am not sure where the product is from, there is NO english on the bottles.

Also regular hair cuts helps a lot with this.

Oh Ive also been told .. if you blow dry or flat iron (which I do) use something in your hair, dont do it with nothing in your hair... get a product that coats your hair and protects it from heat damage...

and LASTLY....

Ive heard this a bunch of times in the past... products like paul mitchell from a drug store are not as good as buying from a salon. Salons do not pre-purchase tons of product. When they run low they buy more. It has more of the active ingredient and is healthier for your hair. Drugstores can buy a year or more supply of products and they just sit in a room that is hot & cold & hot & cold year round, causing the deactivation of the active ingredients. Also age of products affects the active ingredients. So buy from a salon.

Good Luck!!
