I am sooooo sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. I Thank you for allowing your cousin to proudly serve to protect our country. Take pride in what he did and how he died - during battle.

The patriot guard is going to stand in Honor of my cousin. Here is a link to their page on him. I haven't read all of the replies there because I am having a hard time getting through them, but i did join and posted to them.

Thank you everyone.

I am trying to be nice about the travel arrangements but I am truly frustrated because they all want to leave on Sunday at noon and it is at least a 10 hour drive if you take the route we use, but they want to take another route which adds 2 hours...plus they want to stop for a picnic lunch. It wouldn't frustrate me so much if it wasn't for the fact that they are all going to a hotel..we on the other hand are going to my SIL's and I don't think she is too thrilled with the idea that we are going to be there at 2 am.

I keep telling myself to just be happy that I am getting to go, right?

I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember losing friends in the Vietnam war - it is so very hard.
