Alycia - I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I will be praying for your family. Your cousin made the ultimate sacrifice. We have a very good friend whose 21 year old son was killed in Iraq a few months ago. We were not able to attend the funeral, but my sister sent photos of the entire city who came out and lined the streets with flags and thank you signs for his service. It was heart wrenching. Hugs sweetie.....

Alycia, my heart really hurts for you and your family, we are so sorry for your loss, praying for God to give comfort to you and your family.

I also can't help but to say to others, there is so many of our troops that are in these places and feel as though they are forgotten, please let them know they are not, it is easy to get someones address that is serving there, write them a letter and also send packages, this means so very much to them. We need to support our troops with all our love and caring so they know how special they are to each of us here at home.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. My heart seriously hurts for you.

When I read your first sentence I started crying and had to come back to this post. I am an Army wife whose husband luckily survived his 15-month deployment to Iraq. Currently, my close friend is in Baghdad and my cousin is shipping out in a few weeks to join the front lines. I know firsthand the sheer day-to-day terror that you experience when a loved one is in harm's way. I am so sad that your cousin's tour ended in tragedy and coming from a large family who just lost our baby cousin in May (still awaiting autopsy results) I really understand what you mean about feeling like you lost a sibling.

My thoughts are with you and your family in this horrible time.

My heart is breaking for you, your family and Justin's family. My nephew is on his 2nd tour in the heart of the fighting in the middle of Baghdad. We fear for him every minute. I hate that we have lost so many brothers, sons, dads, sisters, daughters and moms. But, I am so proud of each and every one of them for putting their lives on the line to protect our freedom. Please accept my condolences and I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. God's peace be with each of you.
