No, haven't visited him yet, but I would love to. Maybe in October during my Fall Break or maybe in March during Spring Break. We have been talking about a trip out west for a couple of years, but something always pops up and blocks it. Soon, I hope.

Hello everyone,
I am new to Yorkie Talk ( just a few days) but I love it here!!! My name is Joy and I live in Louisville, Kentucky...home of the Kentucky Derby! I work with 4 great Plastic Surgeons. I have a Skin Care Center there where I sell great skin care products and do all of those wonderful procedures...laser, peels, microdermabrasion, and also work with the Doctors. Its such a great job. I've been there for over 5 years. I have a beautiful daughter (26 yrs.) and a good looking son (30yrs) Of course , they live away from home, but we see them a lot. I have a very sweet little girl beagle named Nikki. Shes getting old but still has a lot of spunk!!!!! We are waiting to bring our new baby,Chloe Rose home.I 'll be getting her in a few weeks. My husband will be with her during the day...then when I get home, shes all mine!!!! Sorry,no pics yet.

Is your son single? Just Kidding! It's nice to have you here at YT! Your job sounds fascinating! I have my esthetics license from years ago but gave up that career to get my Master's degree and teach college. I'm always interested in new products though

Hi Joy1, I lived in Louisville for 3 years (many years ago) and just fell in love with the city. It was my first job after college. I worked for a CPA firm downtown and I just enjoyed the city to the fullest! I loved Derby week! That was almost 23 years ago and it has grown so much since then. It is one of my favorite places! You're so lucky to live there.

I know I posted on here already but i found these 2 pics. I'm not a huge fan of either photo but I love them because they were taken by my son and it is a look into how he sees us, which is kind of cool.

Oh, my goodness! Yorkie owners are beautiful people! OK...so here is a little about me. My name is Shelley and I am 32 years old. I have been married to my husband, and high school sweatheart, for 14 years. We have one daughter, Lyric, who is the greatest kid in the entire world, except for all of your kids, of course! I grew up in Texas and we currently reside in Tucson, AZ. I hope to move back to the south at some point but we decided to wait until Lyric is out of the house. At 12 years old, she is just too firmly planted in Tucson. I am a stay at home mom and I home school my daughter. I am lucky to have YT access all day, lol! I work seasonally as a stage manager, which I love to do! My daughter is very involved in the performing arts, so we stay very busy with dance, voice lessons, acting, auditions, etc. I spend every weekend with my sister and best friend, Callie, who is a future Yorkie owner . We spend lots of time playing in local poker tournaments and playing table tennis..ping pong is our favorite when it isn't too hot to play. Needless to say, in Arizona, it is almost always too hot to play, so we stick to poker all summer. Our husbands always joke about us being the "men" in the family! But, they actually like to do the cooking and cleaning while we have all of the fun! As much as we might try, they are really not into our "guy" activities. Well, when we are not "playing", I volunteer for the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation and for the Gay Rights Coalition. By the way, I am not gay, but all of my friends are and I chose to volunteer with foundations where I feel I can make a difference. I am more on the conservative side of most issues (for example, marriage) than they would like, but I just have to be honest! I have probably blabbed on for far too long! I think I have told you all a hundred things about Rocky and we got him, so I am not going to include all those details in this already lengthy intro! It has been fun to get to know everyone and put faces with names! YT is a great place to be!

It's Beth. I am 26 years old and am a mother of a 2 year old ball of fire. I am talking about my human daughter! Her name is Taryn and she thinks she rules the roost! We will start trying for #2 this month!!!! I am also mama to Phebe (4 years), Abby (1.5 years) and soon to be here Trigger (12 weeks). I am a first grade teacher and will be starting my 3rd year in August. I love it! My husband (Mitchell) and I have been together for the past 6 years and married for 4. In additon to our Yorkies we also have a 6 year old Weimaraner (Snook), and a 4 year old horse (Lou). All of our animals get along together quite well. Love this thread. It really is great to get to see who you are chatting with.

I guess its my turn, My name is Karen. I live in New Port Richey Florida. (Central West side) I have been living here for 8 years, before that I use to live in New York. I always wanted a Yorkie, but when my children were small I was afraid that they would hurt such a small dog so we bought a westie instead. When Teddy (our Westie) was put down. I told my husband I wanted a yorkie for my birthday! And I think it was the first time he listened to me! LOL! That was 2 1/2 years ago, Bell is her name and she rules my house and my heart. I have two children, George who will be 20 on the 5th of July and Jessica who starts college this year. Both are the best kids I could have ever hoped for. I'm married to a wonderful man also named George. I work in a school as the principal's secretary and I finally have a few weeks off to enjoy the very hot and humid days we are having down here. Bell recently had three puppies 2 boys and 1 girl , I wish I could keep them all, but I will have to sell the boys.
I love being part of this Yorkie community, you meet a lot of wonderful people here and when you need a answer some one will come up with some very creative ideas!

Hi my name is Sarah I am 24 married to my wonderful husband Lucas for 7 years in oct . We have one son together who is Lucas also who is going to be 6 in nov. I have worked with kids for the past 5 years in child care just so I could be close to my son. I am now a stay at home mom who is trying to finish school. I now babysit my friends little boy who is 6 months old. My husband and I just bought our first home a year and a half ago. We live in San Antonio Texas where he is from. We met while he was in the navy, and was staioned in Jacksonville Florida, where I was born and raised. We came to Texas so he could go back to school. Since he is a vetern his school is free in Texas. He is going to school for comp science will be done in 1 more year he also works for the local news station Kens 5 in San Antonio .Then its my turn to finish I am going to be a vet tech animals have always been my passion ever since I can remember , just doing a little at a time right now fininshing my basics. After that we are moving back to Florida to be near my family. My mom and grandparents are in Port St Lucie. My dad is still in Jacksonville.
We have our sweet yorkie named Princess Emma Rose who is 14 weeks, my sweetheart Brownie who is 2 and a Chihuahua mix, 2 two year old cats named Snuggles and Snowflake. They are all females, so I am soon looking to get my first little boy yorkie around the first of the year in 2006. I had a hard time finding photos of my self that I liked so here are a few they were taken a few years ago. Sorry the only Pict I could find.

Hi my name is Amber and I'm 20 years old. I live in Bel Air, MD with my parents but will be living on campus in a suite this fall, very exciting!! I've never lived on my own before and am an only child so this should def. be interesting! I will be attending Villa Julie College, majoring in Early Childhood Leadership. I have a bf I've been with for almost 4 years now and he goes to Virginia Tech. Bentley is 8 months old now and he is spoiled rotten! Always wants your undivided attention and even dances on his hind legs to get it! He should be called houdini though becuase he can get out of anything! We used to have a gate up blocking the stairway and he could push that down even if there was a box in front of that! He can also squeeze through just about anything! I will def. miss him while Im away at school this fall. Anyways heres some pictures of me and the 2 men in my life.

Sorry the only pictures I have access to right now are my boyfriends ring dance pictures! Once I find some normal ones I'll replace them!
