| At home, I drink tap water. At work (school), I drink bottled water--for the only reason being I can't bring myself to drink out of a water fountain that all the kids have been drinking from (with their mouths all over it)! Yuck...I just can't do it!

| oh my goodness, my mother just sent me this email!! As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria. In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) - bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop. However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting. Remember: Water = Poop, Wine = Health Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of poop. There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service. |

| I just read an article about bottled water....... First, my doctor recommended fliters for my faucet and refrig because of all the "bad" things that can be in tap water (I have a crazy stomach). We also have a spring, but we have not tapped it for drinking water...just outside watering. nsf.org/certified/bwpi In a test of 1000 bottled water brands, 22% had chemical amounts higher then state health limits. Two chemical free brands are: Poland Spring and Evian. See the link above for other safe brands. If you drink tap water....consider a filter to get rid of mercury, herbicides, industrial chemicals and other toxins. The two top ranked filters are Kenmore Countertop Water Filter (model 34551) and the Brita "on tap" Faucet Water Filter System. (which is the one I bought from Wal-Mart, I think). Fiji water was rated as one of the best waters for optimal health.....it says it comes from a one of a kind natural ecosytem that's safe from pollution, pesticides and all other contaminants. It is also pH balanced and rich in silica - the most important trace mineral for human health. Also, there was another article about the plastic that the bottled water comes in. They say it is best to use filter tap water and buy a reusable metal (stainless steel or something) water bottle.

| I just buy about 6 bottles of water every few months and keep refilling them with tap water. I keep them in the fridge and they taste as good as water can taste. We have good tasting tap water in NYC. I love the Fuji bottles. Very pretty!

| I use a Brita filter pitcher. It's small and kind of inconvenient to refill, however I have a big container that I keep filled in the fridge. I could never justify paying all that money for water!! Look at that, turns out for once, being thrifty might have paid off!!!
