My sister just had an ecocardiogram (sp?) so we are waiting to hear back about that. I just spoke with my mom and my sister is feeling much better today.

I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I am sending prayers to you and your family.

As far as the low salt diet goes, my father in law has Meniere's Disease which without getting into it is regulated by a low salt/sodium diet. I have pretty much read any thing and everything on low salt so he can stay well. Here are a few good sites to look at. It is a very difficult diet to deal with because EVERYTHING has so much salt in it now days.

For the most part, the fresher the better and skip table salt, seasonings and start reading labels on EVERYTHING. Please PM me if you have questions I do not mind helping or sharing a few recipes

Shana, sending prayers for your sister and the rest of her family. For you, too. You all must be so scared. I don't know a whole lot about low sodium diets, but I do know it's lots of fresh fruits and veggies. It's a very healthy diet. I hope the results of the echocardiogram are good.
