| OK - finished it last night. I got it first thing Saturday morning, but being on my business trip didn't have a chance to begin till at the airport and then had to work Monday!!!! I loved the book. I do think the writing was a little more detailed and moved quickly, but youngsters who love to read will just need to go a little more slowly. I'm sad that it has ended as I love continuation books. I liked how everything got resolved but was a little disturbed with the Dumbledore betrayal/meeting.

| My don felt that they were hard for him to follow, so sadly after buying him the books he didn't read them. I will get him the chronicles of narnia for his birthday. I think he will like those. I did as a kid |

| I finshed it an hour ago and only allowed myself 200 pages a day so i wouldnt finish it soo fast..lol. It was hard to put down after each 200 ( which is like and hour or so for me). I likes it but agree that it did seem rushed. I think the best part was snapes situiation. I did cry in the last 100 pages and dobby .Mrs. weasly, omg..i was lmao. Dracos mom surprised me. The epilogue was i think a bit chessy and short. I think it left it in a place where other writers can pick up( like the star wars novels) and learn more about each character. but i still think my favorite where 4 and 5. im gonna reread them all and see what i feel hasnt been answered. Recommend the Bartimeaous Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud

| I finished it on Monday night.....and omg the last 100 pages did have me crying! But overall I was happy with how things turned out. And it was damned good, I couldn't put it own. Wickett, on the other hand, HATED it. Since I was glued to my book instead of paying attention to his royal highness, he left me some "surprises" throughout the house. |

| I finally finished the book last night!!!! I had family in town so I haven't had much time to read. I wouldn't go on this thread until I was done just in case someone said who all died and everything. I thought it was so good. If only she would come out with some more!!!

| i finished it too and wasn't crazy about the epilogue either... i felt it left me with more quesitons than answers... what are they all up to?? do they work at hogwarts?? whos the new headmaster??? teacher of defense against the dark arts... grrr.. HOWEVER i read that she wil be making a HArry Potter Encyclopedia of Characters she said she wanted to be able to tell more about each character and what they are doing now, mora bout their history however the books would have been TOO long, so she is goign to make this instaead! i can't wait!!! |

There's still a lot that she didn't reveal but she did answer a few of these questions in an interview with Meredith Vieira. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19959323/

| Finally finished....I have been so busy with my daughter's move to Atlanta and other things, I really did not have time to just sit down and read. I read almost all day yesterday (hubby was still in Atlanta with daughter) and finished it early this morning. I thought it was great, but I have loved all the books. I do agree with others that the reading level has gotten higher with each book. If children started reading the series when it first started, they should be okay with the reading level (because they have gotten older too), but if younger kids start the series now and try to read straight through, they may have problems. I was sorry to see who died off, but was also glad it was not the absolute most "major" characters. I feel the epilogue left things wide open for more--I know Rowling said NO, but it seems possible...

Mom to Marty & Maddie Donating Member | So what are some of your favorite quotes?? One of my favorites was "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?" And of course, what Molly said near the end!!! LOL! |
