| Share your Fall/Winter project ideas I know it's hot right now, but have you thought about what you're going to do this winter, other than YT? Share your ideas here, or tell us what you made last year. I have the instructions for a "Rag Quilt" you know, one of those inside out ones. I made one, and I plan to make a couple of twin size ones this winter.f Anyone wanting the instructions, PM me with your email address and I'll send them to you. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll post a picture of mine. |

| As in craft projects or projects in general? No craft projects here but as for big projects we're planning to side the house with cedar shake shingles and build a summer kitchen over the existing patio area. Another project we will hopefully be starting soon is to remodel another house. That should keep us busy until late Fall and then hopefully we can go to Florida again and take a break for a few weeks. |

| Those projects sound a little too ambitious for me. LOL I've done my share of remodeling on rental property. We did enjoy it when we were doing it, but it's too much for us now. Quote:

YT 2000 Club Member | I am doing remodeling to our house, It's over 100 years old and was last updated in the 70's! It has been owned by the same family till we bought it almost 1 year ago. We are starting with the kitchen. The Plaster and lathing had horse hair in it so we got that down and boy was that dusty! Right now I just have the sink in it but it will be out once we pick out the sink I want. Hubby said no to the copper one I liked so now I have to find a new one that isn't too expensive! I want the "old" look but new updated things. My craft project I am working on is painting my tin look celling tiles! I want it to look like old silver ones, so I am using an aging glaze over silver paint and then going over it with a damp cloth to just leave it in the crevasses of the pattern.I have one box done and 4 more to go. Each box has 40 tiles in it! |

| Im going to be making a baby quilt for myself and also a belated baby quilt for my friend who already had her baby (almost a year ago, lol). I want to possibly knit baby sweaters too, but I will try not to be too ambitious because I tend to start a lot of projects and not have the time to finish. I also really want to start painting and drawing again

| I'm going to work on some awesome tablescapes and probably crochet Max more little blankets for his carrier to match everything he owns, LOL. So far, he's got two Christmas blankets, a Valentine's Day blanket, a St. Patrick's Day blanket and a July 4th blanket, along with matching covers for the pad in the carrier. I Love winter...even if it doesnt' get that cold where we are, sometimes we get to go where it IS cold and Max loves to have his outfits on and his blankies. He gets so excited when I tell him that I'm making something for HIM, LOL! Other than that, I'll do mostly decorative stuff I think. This spring, I cut branches off a tree and wrapped them with satin ribbon and then hotglued silk flowers onto them...they turned out really pretty.

| Here are pictures of my Rag Quilt. The second pictures is a close up of the raw edges, which give it it's name. The front of the quilt is actually the raggy looking side, the other side is smooth, if you prefer it that way. You don't need any quilting experience to do this. The quilting is done by sewing the batting between two matching squares with a big X through the center. Then the squares are sewen together into rows, and then the rows are sewn together. The squares can be arranged anyway you like. I did this one with diagonal rows. After that you snip all the raw edges, where all the squares are joined, to make them fray. And washing it helps with the fraying. IM002764.jpg IM002765.jpg |
