Here are pictures of my Rag Quilt.
The second pictures is a close up of the raw edges, which give it it's name.
The front of the quilt is actually the raggy looking side, the other side is smooth, if you prefer it that way.
You don't need any quilting experience to do this. The quilting is done by sewing the batting between two matching squares with a big X through the center.
Then the squares are sewen together into rows, and then the rows are sewn together. The squares can be arranged anyway you like. I did this one with diagonal rows.
After that you snip all the raw edges, where all the squares are joined, to make them fray. And washing it helps with the fraying.
