Saw the movie @ 6pm today. Loved it. Glad I didn't go at midnight, would not have been able to sleep...How was the midnight show??

The midnight show was good but only because it was IMAX 3D, not because it was at midnight

It was ALL like high school aged kids - not many dressed up. We just wore our hats. (I bought the official WB hats when CoS came out.) I LOVED the movie, I thought they adapted the book well and the changes made sense. The thestral and fight scene at the end were 3D and the thestrals looked like you could reach out and touch them!

We'll go back this weekend and see it again. I took my cousin last night, but my husband wants to see it too so I will go with him.

WOW! My bf really wants to see it but he said he doesn't want to go the first day cause there will be tons of kids lol and they will prob. laugh, now I'm excited to go too. It just came out today!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!! Maybe we'll go tommorrow

Just doesn't make sense though...they took the longest book, and made it into the shortest movie. I guess I was just let down that they left out what I thought were key parts and downplayed alot of who I thought were key characters.

I know what you mean..there were so many parts I was looking forward to seeing but they weren't there (The swamp scene, Dobby, quidditch) . This was a new director so maybe he thought his way was better. I still liked the movie..I was a little upset that they made Cho the sneak about the DA stuff..it completely changed everything...oh well. I guess they can't please us all!!

I think part of the reason I enjoyed it is that I didn't re-read the book right before. I read it when it came out, then again before Book 6.

I remembered enough to giggle when Hermione got out the charmed parchment, but then they didn't show anything about that! I agree that a lot was missing and they changed some things, but I liked what they brought to life. I would have sat through a 4 hour movie, but most people wouldn't.

i saw the movie last night and I wasn't that impressed--it was good and my Mom and boyfriend loved it, but I guess that's my fault for re-reading the book right before seeing it, I just felt like vital information was left out and I don't know it just seemed different than the first four. Cannot wait for Deathly Hallows have pre-ordered my book as well and plan to pick it up bright and early saturday morning and then head to the pool to read it!

I didn't think it was as good as others. They left a lot of things hanging that needed closure in this movie. Like the Cho issue.... they just kinda dropped it and never followed through.
