I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | OMG!! Will it ever stop raining in Texas!! This is just crazy! We walked outside on the patio and my hubby said, "Well I guess we are just gonna go under! We outta just sell the cars and get a boat!" LOL - this is just crazy. I don't think it will EVER stop raining here! My yard is so flooded and it keeps raining so it can't dry up - my yard looks like a jungle but we can't mowe it because it's all wet! And they canceled the fire works tonight, they just can't have it because of all of this dang rain! What a crappy 4th of July! Texas weather just SUCKS!

| I'm sorry your weather is so crappy. We had 1" of rain last night and it's the first rain that we've had in 2 months. I hope it changes soon and you get to enjoy some of the summer.

| It sounds terrible!! Perhaps the hubby is on to something - maybe build an ark, but allow only yorkies and their owners?! Seriously, make sure you are all safe and watch out for all the standing water as it is a natural breeding ground for giardia.

| Rain..Rain go away, come again another day!!! I know that most of the texans on YT are soooo tired of all this RAIN.... but look on the bright side..... It sure is pretty here because of all the rain. When I lived in California it was always dry and dead looking. Had to water the lawn constantly just to keep it green. Yes the weather was mostly beautiful and the rainy seasons very mild,..... BUT it sure didnt look beautiful like texas and our water bill isnt anything compared to california. Sooo when you get tired of all the texas rain... just remember when you go outside and see BEAUTY... its is really all worth it....And the money you save on your water you can buy your yorkies some new stuff.... Now isnt that WORTH IT!!!!!..... |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | The rain down South isn't like the rain they're getting up North. My home town has flooded and they have had deaths because of it. VERY scary!!! God forbid that a hurricane came our way because the ground is so saturated, we'd really be in trouble! The rain is nice for growing things but once this thing clears out, the mosquitoes will be out in full force and I am NOT looking forward to that. We'll have West Nile next.

| Well, I have to confess..... it's all my fault! Seriously, three years ago when we were building our house, it rained so much that construction ended up taking over a year. We closed on the construction loan in February and finally got to pour the slab at the end of July (because of all the rain). Then it rained more and more and more. We were so pushing our deadline that I didn't know what we were gonna do. Ended up having to extend the closing several times until they said no more. It was the biggest, nastiest mess ever! I said, many times, that you just watch.... once we move in we'll have a drought for years! Well, looks like the drought is over. We've been in the house for 2 years this past June and the rain decided to come again! And yes, my yard is a jungle..... Tatum hates to pee in the grass (but she's a tough girl and does it anyway) because the grass is up to the top of her back in some places! But hey, at least it's GREEN!!
