For my mom's birthday last year, I joined our local PBS station and got tickets to a Chris Botti show -- with a "meet and greet" event. The show was back in January.

Unfortunately, my mom was still battling pneumonia and we didn't get to attend. She was really bummed.

A few weeks ago, the station was doing a membership drive again and were hawking tickets to a show with Chris Botti AND Diana Krall later this summer. I decided to take my chances when regular ticket sales started over the weekend ... but I forgot!!!

Luckily, I remembered this morning. While trying to get tickets online, my first two tries weren't successful. On the third try, I just clicked on "best available" and managed to get a VIP section in orchestra seating. They are very good seats and the concert venue here is one of the best going. Can't wait to surprise my mom with these!

That is awesome luck! I'll bet that she couldn't believe it!

Yeah, she sure was.

She is still not well and just broke out with shingles again earlier this week, so I'm hoping to have her well by next month.
