| Cave Without A Name http://www.weatherfriend.com/travel/...lection_sm.jpg Commercialized in 1939, this cave has a unique story behind its name. A contest held to find a name left a local student as winner. The student said that, "The cave is to pretty too have a name" and the cave received its name. The cave is located near Boerne, TX a little drive out of town takes one on a scenic drive to the cave. Go 11miles Northeast of Boerne on FM474 to reach the cave. It is driving me batty LOL no pun intended these are the only caves I can find in Texas with no name??? Am I right? |

| Okay....don't shoot me, but I "might" have figured it out. I am new here, but using the clues given and the search feature of this site, I found a post about a trip made by several YTers in March to Texas and it meets the following criteria... ...covered wagon (interactive Texas exhibit?) ...resident that didn't like a YTer (a certain primate maybe?) ...cave with no name (a fake one?) Is it the Ft. Worth Zoo??????

| Yep, Patty 58 guessed that a few days ago on the 18th. That's what I thought it was too but since you didn't say anything I kept looking. I spent two days searching pics of Ft. Worth on the Internet. Even sent the pic to my friend in Dallas who said "We don't claim Ft. Worth!" Ooooo. It's a cool pic. I'm glad we have shock absorbers now! |
