Texans look here! 1 Attachment(s) I thought it would be fun to see if you could guess where in Texas I took this picture, winner gets ZILTCH! :p Attachment 126840 |
I'm in Texas but I couldn't tell you where there might be. Since it's behind ropes, I'm assuming it's some sort of exhibit. I love pictures of old chuckwagons though. My husband and his uncle renovated an old wagon of his great-grandfather's (his uncle's grandfather) and now do chuckwagon cooking competitions and catering. It's pretty neat hearing some of the old stories of the cowboys cooking on the trail. |
awesome picture....the old days had to be SO tough with no air conditioned cars lol - Austin maybe ?? |
I guess the Austin too :D |
Nope, guess again. |
I'm not in Texas but I guess in the fortworth area. |
Fredricksburg? It's in the Hill Country somewhere, right??? |
That building behind it? Possibly a University building? I'm lost. Texas is a big place and I'm not one for much of sight-seeing trips so I just don't know. I would guess maybe Ft. Worth also but probably not around the Stockyards because that building doesn't look familiar and we've been there many times for competitions.... but I definitely could be wrong. Hmmmmm...... |
I'm not from Texas, but we visited Dallas, San Antonio (& New Braunfels--schlitterbahn!) and Houston (I'm dying to go back and eat at Mama Ninfa's!). I'll just guess and say the Alamo. I don't remember seeing a covered wagon there though, so it's just a guess. |

I say San Antonio too.... |
HEY! I was born in Texas and that looks exactly like my first set of wheels (minus the "engine" of course - horses don't last as long as wood and canvas) after I got my driver's license;) . Actually, I have no clue but it's a great pic and I am a Little House on the Prairie fan. |
I love the picture, I think it would look great matted and framed. I had it stuck in my shutterfly acount and came across it today. I know someone will guess exatly where this wagon is located. ;) |
Waco? I think the building in the background is on the Baylor campus, so my guess is the museum....oh, what is it's name???? It's a natural history museum....??? The Mayborn Museum!!! |
oh shadow you are such a tease i have a few guesses but i think i will think harder before i say them but hummm someone will guess it though |
