its getting worse, and he doesnt get home till late and i know he;s tired i want to beat the living daylights out of my boy right now i just sent him to his room and he cried for a few minutes then started playing again.
i think im going to cry
you shouldn't leave cleaning chemicals in reach of a 2 yr old yes they get into everything i see why someone would get upset about it but such a young child doesnt know any better and will most likely not remember being told not to do something a big tv is nice to have but i would think the kids well being would be more important it could have been worse like the toddler drinking a cleaniing solution or spilling it all over them or what have you

i do seriously appreciate the concern but it was not cleaning solution that was reachable i have a bottle with water for the dogs and a bottle with water and liquid softner to make the home smell good, neither one of those would harm him in anyway, my true chemicals are put away, most of my cleaning supplies are like vinegar, and of course the only main chemical here is bleach and that it kept away and i do care for his saftey but i also care about a exspensive items in my home..this was not a post to make people feel they need to stand up for the well being of my child, the orginal post was a bit on the joking side but also upsetting because of what happened the thread title was a joke and not meant to be taken seriously

I knew that your title was in jest, it wasn't the title that bothered me. What got to me was the fact that your son was trying to help and then was yelled at and sent to his room over something that was not his fault. I didn't want you to feel that I was attacking you because I do realize that you were asking for help with your tv, but it's hard to ignore something that it written like, "I want to beat the living daylights out of my boy right now...". I wanted to so badly relpy only to your concern about the tv and how badly you felt about it, but I was saddened by the thought of how your little man was feeling...I guess because I, too, have a baby the same age so I it hit close to home for me and my heart.

there you go. I know it's hard raising a two year old but they are just so hilarious at that age....and still very much babies....and I'm glad you put the stuff up.

My youngest was one of those kids who got into EVERYTHING....I can remember putting a lock on my fridge door cause he'd sneak out there in the middle of the night and eat stuff & he was QUIET lol - one night he got into the jelly & dropped it - the jar broke and I totally freaked when I ran out there - he had his fingers in the mess and was getting ready to lick them LOL - with BROKEN glass believe me - a Rope went around my fridge that night and what a pain in the butt it was undoing the knots every morning ...but he never did raid the fridge again...at least not till he was much older

Sounds like you are doing just fine....none of us are "perfect", that's for sure! I gained a lot of paitence after the death of our first baby. The sad reality, sometimes our children go before us...should not happen and it never will feel right and the pain is ALWAYS there, but things happen in life that are out of our hands. I remind myself, when I start to lose my paitence, just how fleating these moments are and what if I never get to say goodbye and the last words are in anger?! I didn't get to say goodbye to my Abby and now I live my life like this....like I might not get to say goodbye and I have learned to bite my tongue, to hold off on the hurtful words, because of the "what ifs". I know, I am rambling...I just wanted you to know that no mommy is perfect, we just do our best. Squeeze that beautiful baby boy of yours and just let him know that it's just a tv and begin again! Clean slate...tomorrow's a new day!

Tammy

(empty of course - he must have pigged out) and we're talking maybe 3-4 years old at that time

Landon also does this...ugh! We had to put a lock on it because he would just go and open the door and stand half way in it and look around.

Right now it may be hard on you with a 2 year old, but they grow up so fast just enjoy him as much as possible before you know it he will be leaving home.... I know right now its hard to believe when people say that but trust me they do, its like you blink your eyes and they are grown up...

Kids... they do push that last button. my son flushed my brand new cell phone down the toilet. After I had to call the plumber to unclog my toilet... so all said and done.. I had to pay over 300.00. He sobbed uncontrollably saying he was so sorry.. it nearly broke my heart.. I forgave of course being the loving, accident understanding mom that I am... UNTIL... the next week when he put my neighbors cell phone in a jug of milk!!!! Hilarious now right... stilll love them though but they get you right to the verge of bodily harm... LOL good luck with your tv
