| I swear, it's not always a pig sty.... Did you ever have someone pop by unexpectedly & they either have never been to your home or they haven't been there in a long time & it just so happens it's the day you got behind ( who am I kidding, it was a week behind) in house work & the house was a pig sty?? ... I've had this happen a few times & it annoys me to no end...I'm all anxietied up & the DH has no clue as to why ...He will say, "They're here to see you not your home, don't worry about it" ....I had to let him on the dirty little secret that women do ..I informed him, " When my back is turned the white glove comes out, you just don't see it, there's a mental check list going off in her head the whole time they're here."....now they think my home looks like that all the time, it's not fair, I wonder if that was the plan ...I'm done now ...

| I hear ya woman! Yep, we do it don't we. I'm such a detail hound, I hate it when my place isn't all put together. And I admit when I go to one of my friends homes and it's messy, I'm thinking, "Wonder what's going on here? Wonder if something's wrong? Why is the house such a mess? Is she in trouble? Should I offer help? Should I say anything? " Or if it's someone I don't know I'm thinking "Whoa, hope they don't invite me back soon. Hope I don't have to use the bathroom. Wow, look at that floor." Men never get it, but our home is us. It reflects who we are and if it's not at its best, then we feel completely worthless and know we are going to be judged. It's what we do. Sigh! |

| It's not so much my house but if I need something really fast at the store and I go without fixing my hair or wear make up I run into everyone!

| I know that when I think my house is a mess, everyone who comes in thinks I am the best housekeeper!!! I think we see things in our own homes that other people don't. When I go to someone else's house and I think it is soooo clean and they tell me their house is a mess, I always wonder if they really didn't clean or they see things I don't. Don't worry about it. Life is too short!!

| If someone dropped in on me right now I would die! I really need to get off of this darn computer and start cleaning! I had too much fun this weekend and my house is proving it. Okay, I'm off to clean. For real, I'm going....

| I remember years ago I was cleaning my living room carpet, so almost all the furniture was piled in the dining room....I had to literally walk down the couch to get to the kitchen...of all days in the world this person I had not seen in about 10 yrs shows up I was so flustered & uncomfortable I was having a hard time talking to her...there was no where to sit & I looked like sh*t...thank you very much for the pop in ( I think she did it on purpose)

| i know what you mean! Today my hubbies coworker dropped by to tell him something and I would not let my hubby let him in. I am like 2 weeks behind on cleaning and all I need is someone starting crap saying I dont ever clean my house. I live on a small military post, stuff gets started FAST here. They dont really care that I am 9 months preg and could care less what the house looks like, right now. |

| Even with a sparkling house, drop-ins are not my favorite because inevitably I am in the middle of something or just about to start something. I need to be in the mood to entertain at home...maybe I'm strange. I don't drop in on others because I HATE when it's done to me. I feel your pain.
