Continued thoughts and prayers during this rough time. May not seem like it right now, but as a very famous book says, "This too shall pass.":) |
Amber I'm sorry. Life is rough and sucks at times. I only read your first post so maybe this has been suggested already but. I would suggest getting a copy of your credit report and writing a letter to all the companies listed and setting out the circumstances of events and asking them if they would agree to either remove the negative things on your report or at least clean them up a little. I did this when I bought my house. My husband (ex) and I had some blemishes on our report. Most of them agreed to clean them up for us. I'm not sure about the house one though. Sounds like they might not be as agreeable. However, maybe there is a corporate office for the company or something that you can appeal to. Worth a shot. There are places out there for a minimal fee that will help you write the letters (which I think you can also find on line), and they will also help you clean up the credit. Maybe your attorney can act on your behalf on the mortgage one. You can check with your courthouse and see if they have a referral service or something. You may find an attorney to help you pro bono. Best wishes and good luck. |
