I love my new telephoto lens

I also just got mine XTI about a month ago, and I'm still learning to use it. Just today I got 50mm f/1.8 lens and 28-135mm IS lens, and so far I love both of them. I just can't wait to finally figure all of it out!!!LOL

I have the XT and I LOVE it! I'm getting the XTi soon though and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm glad you've enjoyed your camera. You've taken some great shots!

I got the 75-300mm zoom lens this past week and I love it. I can't wait to figure it all out either. Let me know when you figure it out so you can help me...

I still love this lens, here are some pics I took of my nephews this weekend while they were at my house. And one is my daughter with our golden Jake.

Oh, great, more and more people are getting my camera! Now everyone's gonna realize it's the camera and not me that gets Yorkie action pics!

Genie, your pics are awesome! One potential tip for night shots, though you may already know it. You can change the speed of your digital image just like you can buy "faster" film.

Read up on how to change your ISO. For night shots or any low-light situation, I change my ISO to 1600. That allows you to shoot on a faster shutter speed.

Here's a couple shots I got of my nephew and his buddy this weekend with my canon digital rebel and 70-300 zoom. It was cloudy and dark, so I shot a lot of them on 1600 ISO.

Oh my goodness, I totally now what you mean about the batteries. Try lithium batteries. They lasted me several months, as opposed to a few weeks, max, with regular batteries.

Those pics are great, I LOVE motocross. I did not know that you could change the iso in low light situations, so thanks so much for that info. I wish I had know that a week ago at my daughters chior concert and maybe some of my pics would have turned out better. I guess if I would read the manual then I could learn something though. I plan on reading up on this because I love to take pictures. Thanks again.

And aren't these camera's great?! It only took me forever to break down and go digital. Now I'm having a hard time imagining what it was like without one.

But Mike, for all the great features and all the great functions the cameras have, the real trick is knowing WHAT to put in the frame and WHEN to hit click!
