Genie, your pics are awesome! One potential tip for night shots, though you may already know it. You can change the speed of your digital image just like you can buy "faster" film.
Read up on how to change your ISO. For night shots or any low-light situation, I change my ISO to 1600. That allows you to shoot on a faster shutter speed.
Here's a couple shots I got of my nephew and his buddy this weekend with my canon digital rebel and 70-300 zoom. It was cloudy and dark, so I shot a lot of them on 1600 ISO. |
Those pics are great, I LOVE motocross. I did not know that you could change the iso in low light situations, so thanks so much for that info. I wish I had know that a week ago at my daughters chior concert and maybe some of my pics would have turned out better. I guess if I would read the manual then I could learn something though. I plan on reading up on this because I love to take pictures. Thanks again.
