WB church oh my god

you know, you hear people say are they a christian and they will say, "I go to church". Then you say, " but are you saved? Do you have a true personal relationship with Jesus Christ"? This is usually the part where they turn red in the face and walk away. there is a huge difference between going to church, calling yourself a christian and having a personal relationship with jesus Christ. I am so glad I fall into the latter group.

My bf goes to a private university... he had to write a paper on how being gay was wrong... and he asked me to correct it but i refused!


I can understand maybe church saying this but a university!?!?

It is a private university, so if there is a religious affiliation of sorts,...this often happens. Much like private schools. There is a "religious" upbringing inserted into the educational atmosphere.

This is not uncommon in California. Lots of private schools w/ either a christian or catholic emphasis if you will.

and all this is preached by some old nutter, i always think someone who hates gay people that much must be hideing something, and im guessing its in the closet if you know what i mean.

OMG. I had just happened to flick over, when this was on. I was absoulty gob amacked watching this, my chin was on the floor. How does that ole lad get away with it. I was super shocked when the young woman was'nt even allowed to go for a coffee, cause she thought she would be fornacating.
Then them protesting out side that soilders funeral, cause they said he more a less deserved it because there were gays in the army and that was gods way of punishing them. I havent been dumb founded like that in a long long while.
Did you watch the programme on racism after that. That was also a shock to the systm.

God gives us all free will. We're instructed in the Bible to love our fellow man, but the choice to do so remains ours. I am a Christian and was raised by Christian parents that we love everyone. We may not agree with someone's lifestyle, or things they do, but we're instructed that it is not our place to judge. We are also taught to forgive in order to be forgiven.

I could not listen to hatred spewed from a pulpit and called religion.

i dont know how they get away with it, in the uk they would be done by the police for saying that stuff when that child was hit in the head by a can chucked from a car the mother was saying how could people do that to a child but she says that its a good thing that a child dies from cancer cos its sinned or its mother or father has so there glad its dead and its gone to hell, some family they are, the only thing i think i agreed with them about was that inter breeding is wrong well i think they need to look back in there family cos somethings wrong somewhere.

Your right sasha, My god i thought they had strong opions here in N.Ireland. I,ve lived here for 34 years and have seen some awful things. Clear divisions of religous secterianism. but never have i seen or heard people with so much hatred toward others, and we wonder why the world is in such a state. With people like that cult running about is it any wonder.

Sorry to bring this up so late, but was this on BBC? I just recently saw this on You Tube, and I figured it was what you are talking about.
