Not all casting news is about folks comes and going. Sometimes there are stories about performers staying put. Fans of Joshua Morrow will be pleased to know that the Emmy-nominated performer has signed a new long-term contract with The Young and the Restless. Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman) has signed a new multi-year deal that will keep him on The Young and the Restless well into the next decade. "I'm happy to know where I'm going to be for the next five years," Morrow stated. "For me, it's all about staying home with my family. I love being able to take my kids to school and pick them up afterwards most days." Morrow joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in June 1994 at the age of 19. Now nearly 13 years later, Morrow's alter ego should be celebrating his 19th birthday later this year. How is that possible? Nicholas was born on-screen on New Year's Eve 1988 - but thanks to some creative time play by Y&R's writing team the character was "aged" to accommodate storyline. In addition to his work on The Young and the Restless, Morrow also actively participates in charitable causes. The actor will notch his third race in annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Pro/Celeb Race. The event raises money for children's hospitals in Long Beach and Orange Counties in California. Morrow is also a founding board member of TV Cares, the fundraising and charity arm of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Morrow is a five-time Daytime Emmy nominee with five consecutive nominations in the Outstanding Younger Leading Actor starting in 1996 and ending in 2000. The actor was pre-nominated for a Supporting Actor nod in 2006.

No Longer a Member | Y & R Rant!! Puh---leeeze!!!! OK...I'm sure I'm not alone in seeing Nick losing his memory from a mile away, but what has me absolutely perturbed is the "doctor". So...what?...she gives up practicing and becomes a hermit because of a tragedy with her family, and now that she escorts Nick back to Genoa city, she just waltzes around the hospital like she's been practicing all along? I'm gonna puke! And I really have no interest in seeing a love interest develop between the two of them, but obviously, that is where they are going to take it. I went on a two year (at least) hiatus from Y&R, and only just came back because the Carmen storyline was so damned good, but this could make me mad again! Ok that feels better. Feel free to agree or disagree with me! LOL |

YT 1000 Club Member | I know this is kind of an old thread but it's 4am and i just got through watching Y&R. It's the only soap I watch. and the only reason at first was b/c of nick (with those bulging muscles in his arms and that body....D*MN) anyway I liked the way nick was with phil but now he believes he loves share. I think he and share will get back together but his memories will come back he'll realize what he did and he goes running back to phil.... that's the only story line that i LOVE.... the others, i just like... AND she better not run away with her daughter or she deserves to get punished alittle imo b/c that's just wrong. no jail time but something else.. (i wrote their name in short) |

I started watching Y&R when Jack was married to Patty Williams (where the heck did she go?) and was boinking Jill. Yes, I watched the Edge of Night. I remember the last episode--they found the diamonds!!! And what was Alycia Van Dyne doing outside the window? We will never know!! I, too, remember Meg Ryan--she played Meg back then and was doing (was it?) Dusty (?) behind Lily's back and got pregnant. Shouldn't her kid be coming back these days? James Stenbeck will never die. He still pops up once in a while when to help them propagate a new storyline. I watched ATWT for several years recently, and I have been "off" of it since I got Chloe. If it looks like it will start getting good agian, I'll come back. OK, so back to Y&R in the present day... Who else thinks Kane is a super-hottie? OMG! He is one spicy specimen! | |

| I have also watched ATWT and Y&R for over 30 years. My grandmother watched them everyday. I didn't pay a lot of attention in the beginning. But I remember David Hasslehoff playing Snapper. And I remember Meg Ryan being on ATWT. I didn't like her character. I remember Lily and Holding first gettting togther. I thought he was so cute. But I thought Dusty(played by Brian Bloom) was much cuter. Lily went back and forth between them. It is strange and annoying that the writers think we forgot who Nicky was married to. Or that Michael Baldwin raped Christine. Oh yeah, I think Kane is definately HOT! He deserves better then that scheming Amber.

| The jury hasn't decided yet. The verdict should come down this week I think.

No Longer a Member | Phyllis did show up finally for the Verdict. The jury came back with no verdict. One girl changed her mind and had to speak privately to the judge. He ordered them to return to deliberations despite Michael Baldwin's request for a mistrial. |
