JC Penney, Nordstrom and Macy's using dog fur??

Some people would argue it's not right to eat meat either. The amount of suffering is (I'd imagine) the same. It doesn't make it any better or worse for the animal. More waste, sure...but not less suffering, which is what turns most people off of fur.

It's all preference. It doesn't make the people who wear fur immoral or somehow less than someone who doesn't.

I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree on this one. But, here are a few facts....

-Meat is used for human consumption and the health of humans and other animals. Fur is used simply for fashion - the animal suffers and is killed for fashion.
-Most fur is acquired through trapping. The animal is trapped, generally by a clamp that breaks their leg. They suffer to death - if they do not die, the trapper kills them upon finding them. If they are not trapped by a clamp-type device they are trapped in a cage where they starve to death. Animals used for food do not suffer - they are killed instantly... not skinned alive or left bleeding in a trap for days. You can argue this one, but I know it for a fact as I have met fur trappers before and gew up near cow farms.

I hate to be brutal, but I'm sure you would feel differently on this topic if your pet had been skinned and used for fur just so someone could prance around and "look good."

I totally agree with everything you said Cutie.

It's a horrible horrible death they face no matter HOW humans do it what they're doing in China is unimaginable. I just can't wrap my head around them bashing live animals on the ground and SKINNING THEM ALIVE its sick and and disgusting & my heart just aches for animals murdered like this. The whole FUR trade is nothing but torture and coldhearted killing ...the people who do this will one day pay for all that greed.

I like real fur, real leather, real suade...but loads of people are offended and they buy fake instead. Them buying fake and finding out it was real would be just as bad as me buying real and finding out it was fake. It's just as much a cheat, but with more hurt and disgust.
Not even talking about allergies. I wouldn't be surprized if that was the way they actually found out it wasn't fake.

To me, the whole thing (even though I joke about it being all Puff Daddy's fault xD) is just a byproduct of big companies using cheap overseas labor. If the coats had been made in the US, there's no way it would've happened.

I wear fake fur...but good grief...I think I will just bury them...they are probably some poor creature that the clothing industry is posing as "faux". I was wondering about this...I made a new post asking, then I found this one. Oh, I am sick to my stomach. I love Tommy Hilfiger...hope this get starightened out...I really don't want to boycott his stuff.
