| Started Chantix today How are the rest of you doing that started on this med? Is it working for you? I got a little buzz not long after taking the first one! Woo-Hoo!!! Actually, I was kindof dizzy, but I'll take it! Ha! Let me know how this stuff has worked for you. I'm interested to hear how it affected your desire to smoke. Jacki |

| My husband and I both tried it. It gave me migranes as soon as the dosage was increased so I couldn't take it. He is still taking it and doing great. He ran out for 3-4 days and his smoking increased but as soon as he started taking it again he went back down. He spoked about 2 packs a day and is down to 1 pack or less so far. No side effects for him. Once he has quit there will be no smoking in my house so I will have to go outside to smoke which will probably decrease mine. Most of mine is done while driving or on the computer. |

| I just want to send a big GOOD LUCK encouragement to you for trying to quit smoking. I know first hand how truly difficult it can be. But once you stop smoking you will be so thankful! We first banned smoking from the house. Having to go outside, cut my smoking by half. Then I tried everything that was available back then. The patches helped me and I also went to one of those hypnosis clinics. Not sure if that did it or if I was just too embarrassed to say I had wasted $100 but I did quit smoking that day -- 6 years ago. I still occasionally get urges to smoke believe it or not. I guess it never goes completely away. But it is so much easier as time goes by. I gained some weight, but I can breathe easier, smell better, and am pretty sure I will live longer.

| To me, Chantix is a miracle! I've been taking it for almost two months and am now absolutely(no cheating) smoke free for 3 weeks! Yay! I smoked for over 30 years and tried everything to quit from gum, patch, lozenge, quit smoking tapes, hypnosis x2, you name it, etc. etc. Nothing ever worked because I just didn't seem to have the willpower. I must admit I was not enthusiastic about trying the Chantix after so many failures. It's the easiest thing I've ever tried and best of all, it works! Is anyone else still taking it or just starting it?

| Well, I hate to rain on anybody's parade, but it didn't work for me. However, I blame that to the fact that maybe I wasn't ready. The meds only work if you're mentally prepared to quit, which I don't think I was. |

| I've heard VERY good things about it. One of my friends, who was a seriously hardcore smoker (and my smoking buddy), started taking it January 1st and hasn't had a cigarette since (she's in her late 50's and had smoked all of her adult life)!! I can't wait to get a prescription for it!!

| I forgot to mention that at the pharmacy in Wal Mart, it was $116, but with our insurance it was only $30. Not bad, sure hope it works.

| Don't be so quick to take a pill for any reason. It seems people are into the quick fix, but they should realize all medication has side effects and can be life threatning. Just go cold turkey. It's the only real and safe way to quit. |
