| Bad groomer!!! Cut ear off and super glued it!! I just heard this on the morning new, I dont remember where it happened but a little shiztsu(sp?) dog got her ear cut off and then super glue back on so the owner wouldn't notice . The owner was in tears and said that she noticed some dirt and was washing her doggies ear and it jsut fell off, OMG I would have a heart attack if that happened to any of my babies. Now the store is closed and they can't find the groomer . The more I think about it, the more I want to learn how to groom my babies, even if I mess up a little better than risking any part of them. The last time I took Tinkerbell she had some razor burns on her bottom near her thigh

| Was it the WHOLE ear or a piece of the ear? That's the reason why I stay and watch the groomer LIKE A HAWK for the entire process! I never leave, not even for 5 minutes to get some fresh air. That groomer is seriously lucky that it wasn't one my MY dogs that happened to. There would be no place that groomer could run to that I wouldn't hunt him/her down like the dog he/she is and handle things my own way (and ANYONE who knows me personally knows that I am NOT joking in the least). I understand accidents happen and no one is perfect ... but don't try to cover it up!! What if that poor dog's ear would have got infected from dirt sticking to the glue?

| How awful for the dog and the owner. That's a goormer? I think not! The more horror stories I read the more determined I get to groom my own pet. I have seen first hand in Petco, where I have taken Buddy until 6mos ago when I witnessed a young man in his 20's scream at a boxer that he had on the table who was nipping him everytime he tried to cut around his feet. The dog was obviously frightened and it did not help when the groomer kept screaming at him. My groomer looked embarrased and I said I'm glad that's not my dog. I walked out and never went back. I always wondered why you can wait at these places for your pet to be groomed. Scary what goes on in these grooming places. I hope she can sue the pants off of them if she finds them. Carol & Buddy |

| I found the news article... I can't believe this happened - I feel so bad for her and her dog. "Groomer Allegedly Cuts Dog?s Ear Off, Glues It Back On POSTED: 5:30 pm PST February 14, 2007 UPDATED: 6:36 pm PST February 14, 2007 GIG HARBOR, Wash. -- Anni Sheriffius said she was trying to wash off what she thought was dirt on her dog Jasmine?s ear when the ear fell off. Sheriffius rushed her dog to the veterinarian to learn that the dog?s ear had been cut off by a dog groomer and super-glued back on. ?And I saw the ear float away, and it freaked me out,? Sheriffius said. Jasimine, a shi tzu, had to undergo treatment for an infection. Sheriffius said she still has the ear in a plastic bag, and has been crying for weeks at the thought of someone hurting her dog. Pierce County sheriff?s investigators are looking into possible criminal charges against the unlicensed dog groomer. ?Once they tried to hide it and glued the ear back on, that?s not good for the dog. There are all kinds of things that can happen, infection, it's cruelty to animals,? Det. Ed Troyer said. The shop where Jasmine was injured, J?Raes Pet Grooming, appears to have shut down, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported. ?I?d like her never, ever to touch another dog, that?s what I?d like to see,? Sheriffius said. "

| I could never ever let someone else groom my dogs. I don't know if I could control myself if one of them ever hurt my babies. I know in my heart it would be an accident (at least I hope so) but I wouldn't be able to control myself.
