Thats awesome Archie - and HAPPY Valentines Day to you all too - I didn't mean to sound so depressing when I posted I promise !! and marcerella02 - ya he's really really sick now - they said it's a matter of months but so far he's beaten the 'estimates' ....so in the bigger scope of things it could be worse...

and Carol is right - those of us who don't 'celebrate' can always do something just for ourselves - my plan will probably be laundry

she was telling me about her being offered this job and another at the same time and that they were going to pay 7 thou more a month but that we pay her insurance and her car payments and all of her expenses such as gas oilchanges and such so she figured she would coem here, im like 7 more a month what do make here and i guesss she cant say i dont know but my manager here said he pays 3 thou a month just in child support and that his ex doesnt work and wants more money for herself, and you dont even have to write off child support so its like free money, im like 3 a month thats 3 times what i make a month, and i work my butt off, thats crazy

Well, to all of you that are spending Valentine's Day alone or rather with your furbaby, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! I am spending it with my family, which include our furbabies. No fancy, exspensive dinners by candle lit and flowers....that is hard to come by when you have kids.....plus, it really is a waste of money. I gonna make some black eyed peas with ham, cornbread, and collards.....sounds yummy to me!!

I'm so sorry. That's tough for you Villette. I remember those days with my OH. Now it's just me and the kids who are on their own and little Tink who give me thousands of kisses a day. So yep, I'm awfuly thankful for her. I hope things will not be too hard for you and your forever man.

I think and feel valentines day is more for the younger kids and more for new loves. When you get older they seem like just another day.

WE usually just go out to dinner and Hubby always buys me choclates and a sweet card. This year we didnt go to dinner we are snowed in and I couldnt get Hubby a card SO I copied and printed out the RED-NECK VALENTINE'S LOVE POEM someone on YT posted. LMBO yes I did .....and thats what he got. Only I changed some of the words around like the dogs name. and He read it all then Laughed, So it was good for a good laugh.

Heres what it said on my card.
To My Man

Collards is green
my dog's name is Mic
and I'm so lucky to have
a sweet thang like you.

Yore hair is like cornsilk
a-flapping in the breeze
Softer than Mic's
and without all them fleas.

This is the 5th Valentine's Day since my husband passed away (way too young) in June 2002. ... and I just try not to think about it ... and I share the day with my daughter, Monday and now Friday!!!.... what more can I ask for? I know ... but thatz not possible!
My daughter has a nice b'friend so that is a plus ....
