Yep, that could be it. I've forgotten some of the details. I just know that it scared my husband half to death seeing me go through all of that pain during that treatment and he was shocked to find out that I didn't remember a bit of it even though the dr. told him that's what would happen. I'm hoping for new news on Kimika soon. I'm sure her mom is at the hospital. I just hope it all turns out okay without having to go through surgery because the recovery was way worse than the hospital stay. No 17 year old girl wants to spend months recuperating from that!

| You guys are wonderful people! Thank you all so much for the prayers and concerns and the advice. I can't wait till my daughter gets out to read this post. I love yorkietalk, you guys are wonderful, and bless you all. She is doing much better today, she is sitting up and is breathing better. She is in a lot of pain, but she's a trooper and wants to go home. They are still inflating her lungs with the tube so she will be in recovery for a few days. Her friends have been calling and going to visit her which is making her feel a lot better. I came home to check on new puppy and Kodak and get some rest since her friends are visiting. They removed her from intensive care so that's a wonderful thing. Tatumsmom, everything you typed is what I pretty much heard yesterday and today. I'm glad you and the other members & family w/similiar problems came thru it. Thanks Tango for the extended info, it helps a lot and I will Pm you when needed.

| I sure hope your daughter does well, I think she will, she is young and in good health. This happened to my hubby last year - well, his was a little different - it was a spontaneous filling up with fluid of the space (called pleural space) around the lung. He had 6000 cc's drained off (think about a 1 liter bottle of coke, it is 1000 cc's) before they finally decided to do the pleuradesis. They never could figure out what was causing it. Anyway, when the pleural space fills up with fluid, the lung collaspes - just like your daughter's did. He was in the hospital 2 weeks also, and he has lots of other health problems, but he recovered. Good luck to your daughter!!!
