| Did taxes on TAXACT.COM...It was great and easy to do Ok...I did this last year and just loved it. Go to www.taxact.com its great it walks you through everything, box by box. Its sooooo easy. You don't have to pay anything for it for you can pay $15.95 which I did both years and have it e-filed. I got my money back last year in 13 day. (Direct Deposited) So for all of you who pay way too much money to have your taxes done, (like I use to do ) check it out. You can try it and go all the way through it without filing to see how it works. You can stop and start too. Just log on and log back off. We don't file the long way... but you can do it on here too. It ask you every possible question and you just answer yes or no. Then you will fill out the w2 box by box. It even tells you to like enter whats in box 7 of your w2...Its that easy....CHECK IT OUT!!!! TAKES LESS THAN 20 MINUTES. It saves a lot of my info from last year so it only took me 10 minutes or less this year! Last edited by DENISE517; 01-30-2007 at 11:56 AM. |

| I DID TURBO TAX ONE YEAR AND I FOLLOWED THEIR DIRECTIONS AND I DEDUCTED WHAT I KNEW AND I GOT BACK ABOUT 3 THOU. AND THEN THE NEXT YEAR A LADY WAS TELLING ME ABOUT HER DOING TAXES AND SINCE MY HUSBAND WORKED IN THE OILFIELDS I SHOULD LET HER DO MY TAXES SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THEY CAN CLAIM, SO LAST YEAR I LET HER AND SHE AMENDED MY TAXES AND GO TUS BACK 2600 MORE FOR 2004 AND GOT US LIKE 6000 FOR 2005, I WAS LIKE I DIDNT KNOW THAT SO IT WORKS FOR SOME BUT IF YOU HAVE ALOT OF DEDUCTIONS I GUESS OR CERTAIN OCCUPATIONS ASK A PRO, AND SEE WHAT THEY CAN CLAIM FOR YOU. SHE WAS GREAT

| Yeah She Is Licensed So She Said She Uses A Littel Better Of A Program But The Online Ones She Said Or Great If You Don Thave Alot Of Deduct. Or If You Have Simple Ones, She Said Its Mainly Your Knowledge Of What You Can And Cant Claim Or How To Claim It But I Paid Like 29.95 Online And I Got Half Of What I Should Have, But I Paid Her 50 And I Got 2600 More On Top Of The 3 Thou Something That Online Got Me, I Was Like Ohm Y Goodness That Almost Double My Refund From Turbotax That They Owed Us, So I Just Used Her And I Plan On It Again Since I Have So May Deduc. This Year And I Bought A New Vehicle And New Appliances And So I Have Tons Of Dr Bills And Such So Im Just Dropping Everything Off With Her Let Her Take Care Of It. I Guesss Im Lazy. But Yeah She Said Though Most Of The Online Ones Are All The Same Its Just The Price Thats Usually The Difference. She Did Say Dont Go To H&r Block Though

| Just BE careful We used TaxAct last year (the pay version and all) and got AUDITED. The IRS now says that we owe them almost $5,000, and they won't even tell us WHY We even had our accountant go over it and she found that they made a mistake and took away our earned income credit, but they never acknowledged that and keep sending us bills by certified mail. We're going to go to a tax lawyer and do a settlement, I'm not paying them all that money in "penalties and interest" when they waited a YEAR to point out this error, grrr! Anyway, BEWARE!
