I take it and it works great!!!! I've taken both kinds. I sometime have to have them regularly because it seems to help get the mucus up when I'm having asthma troubles. May sure and drink lots of water with it. The more water you drink...the better it works. Hope it helps you!!

hmmm... question for you guys... hubby seems to always have a stuffed up nose.. he thought it was allergies but he never sneezes so I dont think it is that... do you think this will help him breathe better even though he does not have chest congestion?

Great post! My DH was just thinking about getting this before he went to his doctor (who gave him two different types of pills and that nasty strong syrup for his cough and congestion). We just didn't know about trying it! Thanks for everyone sharing their experiences and opinions on it!

Hope all others are feeling better and we're all well soon. Sure has been rough, had pneumonia twice before, but this is the worst. so thankful to have Baby Blessing she has been right by me all the time, she is so comforting, God's gift these little fur babies are to us. Patti

I've been taking the Mucinex that is the drug store brands. The generic at pharmacies is much cheaper. I have severe sinus problems, and take it on a daily basis. When I get sick, I take one in the morning and one in the evening.

I've taken this since it was Guafenisin and you had to have a prescription for it. Same stuff, has 400mg of Guafinesin in it, no prescription now.

I can't take the Mucinex DM, cause it keeps me awake all night. Anything with a D behind it (decongestant) keeps me awake.

I had that mess right after Christmas, and just got over it.
