Ok, my view of the brew... The first 3 days were very very rough. The lemonade drink isn't so bad, but the pepper was rough. The lemonade actually is very sweet. So, the first 3 days, after I drank it, I wanted something salty - REALLY, REALLY BAD! But now Day 4, NO CRAVINGS and the pepper is actually good - it's so weird :D I drink 6 mixtures of the brew. I bring 5 with me to work and spread it out. I drink the 5th one just before I leave work for my hour drive home. I drink the 6th one at about 7:30 pm. At 9 pm I drink the smooth move. In the morning, on my way to work, I sip the AM smooth move (8-9 am). At work by 10 am I drink my first 'brew'. The book says to drink a minimum of 6 (I think the closer to 6 you drink the more weight you will loose). You do not have to do the SWF. But you must drink a Lax. Tea in the PM and AM if you don't do the SWF. I hope this answers your questions??? |
...also... I do not have any cravings for food now. My tummy does make hunger noises, so then I know it is time to drink a 'brew' :rolleyes: |

We are doing the Lemonade part though Monday evening. Tuesday we will start with the OJ. Wednesday morning OJ. Wednesday lunch soup broth. Wednesday dinner Carrabba's :D :D :D :D :D |
Oh yes, I can tell already with the inches. I have pants ranging in sizes 4, 6, 8, 10 (I hold onto the size 4 for that hope of one day - maybe - but probably not :rolleyes: ) I have been living in 8 and 10 for the past 8 months. I want to be back in my 6's for our Italy trip in February :p :p :p (I think it may happen) My hubby's jeans can wiggle down right now, he called me from a job site. He said he can make his jeans fall down (and they are still buttoned and zipped) That's crazy :rolleyes: |
I am getting excited and ready to start this!! I am reading the book and collecting supplies, I think I may start tomorrow morning, anyone want to join me? I had been doing the low carb diet and still like that but I messed it up and thought I would do this before deciding to go back on it. I just have to go pick up the tea and what is the kind for the hunger pains? I'll sort thru the posts and get some of that too. |

Hubby and I decided to start our cleanse on Friday instead of Monday so that we could be at home for day 2 and 3 in case we're feeling really sick. I'm so excited ... I can't wait! :D |
Great! I do suggest having the weekend to be home in case you don't feel well. My hubby was fine, I felt very weak, no energy, very hungry and tons of cravings. But once I was past Day 3, I felt great and still do. No cravings, tons of energy (once I get going). I am hungry though and so is my tummy! My tummy has been growling a lot, so that's when I have a mixture. I am happy to be at Day 5 (well at least 1/2 way thru Day 5) I have lost a total of 7 lbs (in 5 days) My Hubby lost about 15 lbs (in 5 days) ...Oh BTW, I have a membership to Restuarant Depot and I just checked to see if they have Grade B and they do!!!! 64 oz. for about $18 - Maple Grove Farm was the brand! - :) Just an FYI - B/c my Trader Joes doesn't have Grade B anymore :( |

YEP! You\'ll know when your done! Congrats!!! Jen and I will be joining you on Friday!!!! I can\'t wait!!! I\'ll be flushing daily! Woo Hoo!!! Big fun!!! But really it works!!! And its not nearly as bad once you get used to it! Its mostly you phsycing your self out! It tasts like salty chicken broth! its easier if you drink it warm! I\'ll buy my lemons tomorrow!:p |
DISCLAIMER: I\'m just looking for answers, not putting down the cleanse at all! I really wanted to do this, but is it really good for you? I know the website says it has all the nutrients you need... but does anyone know of a doctor recommending this cleanse? I\'m not trying to push buttons-- Trust me, I really want to do the cleanse but I mentioned it to a friend and she freaked out and said her nutritionist said it was a BAD idea. So I\'m torn.... I really want to "clean out the system" but I wonder how good it can really be if a nutritionist said NOOOO! Any imput would be taken graciously! BTW, I would want to do it purely for the health benefits... I\'m 6\'3" and 145 and a size 4-5 so it isn\'t like I really need to lose the weight. |
If you ask a hundred people you\'ll get a hundred different answers... I had one docter tell me that after 5 days I\'d be in the hospital! :eek: Well, I had done the cleanse before and knew better so I took his warning with a grain of salt... I had another doctor who was not nearly as set in his ways say that he believed in the benefits of fasting and cleansing and was actually very interested in seeing me again after the cleanseing was over. His advice was helpfull and centered on keeping hydrated... After having done it and watching MANY others do it before... I have no reason to believe that it will do any damage at all... every body is different and we are our best doctors... you should listen to your own body, you know when you feel like crap, and you know when your feeling icky... and you know when you are seriously ill... you would know if you were doing something WRONG to yourself... And You might feel icky for the first day or two, cause your body may be craving coke, or coffee, or sugar in the form of carbs, candy, or juice... your body is addicted to lots of CRAP! and we feed it lots of refined junk! its tough breaking ourselves of it! Cold turkey! But after that first day or two... the clouds part and the sun comes out! And WOW! Its like a weight lifts! And you really do feel energized!!! The only way to deplete yourself is to drink to little of the "brew" Or to Not follow the Plan as it was written so long ago! Hundreds of thousands of people... scratch that! Millions by now have done this cleanse... I have read countless accounts of people who have done 10 20 even 40 days on this cleanse with no ill effects... I have personally watched people go as long... I intend to do 29 this round... :thumbup: I cut my last cleanse short to attend a raw foods class... The class was great but I am sorry I broke my cleanse:( If you are having second thoughts... do more research... you should feel 100% certian that its safe and for you before you do it! Otherwise you will be afraid of every detox symptom and you will not get all there is to get out of it and chances are you will break it before day 10.. and what a waste that will be... there is no point in putting yourself through a single day if your not going to do 10... I\'d wait till your really on board... Hit a few web boards and chat with some members and people who have done it! Talk with people who are doing it right now! There are a few sites out there dedicated to the cleanse.. just google it... Edited to say: I don\'t want you to think that I don\'t want you to do it! Cause I would love for you to join in!!! I just want you to feel ready... Know what I mean??? Its a good thing and I would NOT be doing it if it werent good for me! I have kids.. they need me... I would not be teaching my daughter something that is not healthy... My mother taught me the benefits of cleansing and I keep with it today! I swear by it! |
