| House Sitting vent SO! I am house sitting for my office manager for a week - no big deal. She asked me - and I thought why not. She's cool with Miss Kimber coming there even though she's only 50% potty trained. Turns out her 17 year old daughter is home the entire week!!! WELL! This girl is known to have "anger" issues. I work 12 hour days (Miss Kimber comes with me) and the girl asked me to call her at 9 and make sure she was awake. I told her I would try and remember. WEll 10 o'clock came around and I was so caught up with work that I forgot. I guess I thought it was kinda crazy that a 17 year old needed to be woken up. I haven't talked to her yet so I don' tknow if she's home or not. Anyway - I'll just tell her I forgot but I'm sure she will resent me for the next week. (please keep in mind I am 22 years old) Okay so last night her friend and her boyfriend were over and they were watching a movie - and I'm trying to sleep upstairs and they have the surround sound on SO loud I figured the neighbours could hear it! I ignored it. This lady has a dog (a Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever) she is a beautiful, well trained dog - she plays well with my puppy (if she didn't I would never stay there) - So I have to walk this dog, even though the daughter is home all day long? This isn't my dog - and Miss Kimber can't walk outside here (it's about -15 celcius when we go for our walks, too cold for her!) But seriously! When I went over there the day before yesterday to make sure the dogs got along and check everything out - I offered to walk the dog thinking that the daughter would be doing it! She expects me to make dinner but doesn't tell me if she's going to be home or not (I'm fine with bagels or some soup!) She's a picky eater but wouldn't be specific about what she liked and what she didn't. She doesn't leave notes when she's out - and I wouldn't care about that but she usually locks herself in the basement, so really I have NO idea if she is there or not! I guess I'm just frustrated!!!

| I would be frustrated too!!!!!!!!!! I think i would be calling someone. You were hired to 'house sit' not babysit. big difference in my opinion. |

| Sounds to me like her mom does everything for her, and she hasn't learned that not everyone is her mommy.

| I think his intentions were for you to babysit but he didn't think you would go for that so he called it house sitting. |

My office manager and her husband are gone to Dominican Republic. This is the second trip they've taken in a year and NOT taken their daughter! I truely don't understand! My mother left me alone when I was 17?! This girl is working 2-5 hour shifts the entire week I am there and doesn't have to go to school. Their dog only needs to be fed once in the morning and let out a few times during the day....She asked me abouta month before and I was unsure about it - and then when I said yes I would she said her daughter would be there I was like "UHH WHAT"! HELP ME! I'm scared to go there tonight b/c I think she's going to freak on me for not "making sure" she was awake! AHHH!

| They had to pay their 35 yr old daughter to clean the kitchen? Thats horrible!!!! My sisters and I cleaned up the kitchen after Christmas dinner without being told, but we know that is our job and has always been since we were kids. Heck, my mom even has us doing half the cooking now. |

| I would totally do the housesitting, but ignore the 17 year old. They didn't even bother to tell you she was there so she's not your responsibility. Whatever she leaves out...put in her room. No reason for her to make work for you...unless she's willing to pay you!!! I honestly can't believe your boss would be this thoughtless toward you.

lol - she is my "boss" but my dad owns the company so I dont really know how you consider that.... anyway the girl just messaged me on msn and said she'd be out tonight - hopefully until I go to bed! I really don't mind taking care of their dog, but not a child!
