| Sweetest Sound EVER!! Well yesterday when I was at the doctor for my first prenatal visit, I got to hear the baby's heart beat! They were wanting to do an ultra sound first, just to make sure that I was between 8 and 11 weeks. But they were super busy yesterday and he had to rush and do an emergency deliver, so my ultra sound is postponed till Dec 14th. Anyways at first we could not hear it.. he kept moving the Doppler around on my stomach and all the sudden the doctor and Jess (my bf) both at the same time said there she is..... It was so amazing.. after I stopped crying I asked them, what do they meant "there she is"?????? I told them for all they know it could be a boy.. And they both said it just came out that way... I was filled with emotion when I heard the heart beat.. This is my first time ever hearing one like this... I went to the doctor with my sis on her first and they were not able to hear the heart beat because she was only 7 weeks.. I tell you it is so early in my pregnancy but I already am in love with this baby!! I'm so excited and overwhelmed at the same time! I guess it is all these hormones rushing through me... Sorry for the long post I just wanted to share my experience with you all! |

| It IS the most amazing sound! I've cried like a baby myself both times with my boys. The next very best thing is the ultrasound! |

| I was real emotional this day! I'm also worried.. They said they usually see you every 4 weeks for your first trimester, well when he finished this visit he said that he wants to see me in 2 weeks. So my next visit is Dec 26. (but my ultra sound is DEc 14). He said that since I have lost 2lbs, making my weight 93lbs he wants to see me then to make sure I will be able to gain the weight I need for the baby.. Now this worries me because I have always heard when you first get pregnant you loose weight.. Should I be worried?? |

| Congratulations sweetie. Your post made me tear up. You sound so happy! You are very slim, so the doctor is just making sure everything goes well. Have you had a lot of morning sickness? That would sure account for the weight loss. I didn't gain any weight with my first til I was almost 5 months pg and only gained 13 lbs total. He came out healthy and weighing almost 8 lbs. |

| CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm currently at week 25 w/ my pregnancy and it IS a girl. I thought FOR SURE it was a boy, but for no real reason. It's so exciting to see you this happy about your pregnancy! How touching...and it is great to hear that heart beat as a conformation of that little life inside of you. And if you think THAT was emotional...lol, wait 'till you SEE what you're hearing for the first time on that ultrasound monitor. FYI- my little girls heart rate was 176 bpm at 8 weeks and 6 days. |

| The most beautiful sound in the world is the heartbeat of your unborn child. I remember it well with my 2 sons even though they are grown now. Enjoy every second of your pregnancy and your baby when he/she arrives. These are the best times of your life. Praying that all goes well for you.

| How exciting for the two of you. Hearing you babies heartbeat for the first time is very emotional. It is very nice of you to share you feelings and experiences. Don't be concerned about losing a few pounds at first. My daughter lost 22lbs due to hyper imesis(throwing up round the clock) for four months. Isabella was born on 10/13 weighing in at 8lbs 2oz. Just eat good food and take care of yourself. Carol & Buddy |

| Congratulations -- your post almost teared me up too, just remembering! Nothing like the first signs of life -- until the birth! What an exciting time for you. My DIL is pregnant and I saw a baby heartbeat monitor at Walmart. Couldn't resist, bought it for her. I haven't heard back whether or not she has used it but I hope it works well and she can enjoy that beautiful sound any time she wants. I liked how both the doc and your BF called the baby "she" at the same time -- that would make me wonder. Girl or boy -- ENJOY!
