well my parents FINALY got the box.. I told them to go ahead and open there gifts Because my in-laws didnt wait like we dont them to

She open the box and then she called me.. Acted like everything was fine when she talk to my husband (he answered the phone) asking how he was..etc etc etc... and then he handed me the phone and she was "like what is this in the white box?" (I played dumb) I was like I dont know?? whats in the white box? She was like "you know whats in it.. do you care to explain..." I was like it explains it self.(DUH) Then she ask how far along (which i still dont know yet) and some other question. she worried bc if my health prob with was fine and took it better then I expected

My dad on the other hand... well I drove him to drinking lol. My mom said after he open the box, he went and made him rum and OJ. (which sounds SOO NASTY) He said he "needed to calm his nerves". yeah like he is the one who is expecting my mom said he will be better when it sinks in and told me congratulations.... even thou she didnt sound to excited about it...

That is sad -- I feel sorry for them not being able to join in the joy of your pregnancy. Some people have a hard time being positive. I think it makes their lives so much less enjoyable. But don't let it get you down -- you and your husband are happy, the in-laws are happy and your mom and dad will be too when they see that sweet grandchild smile!

I have two grown sons and one still at home. I sometimes forget the older ones are grown men -- they are always my babies I guess. But I try to remind myself to let them lead their own lives and be happy for them in whatever paths they choose.

I still have yet to tell my parents.. I think I'm going to give them pics of my ultra sound as a christmas present Christmas Eve. I think my parents will take it the same as your did, so I'm real nervous!!!

I can't imagine why they wouldn't be so excited and happy! I feel bad for you...sharing your happiness with them and expecting them to be tickled pink. Well, us yt'ers are all excited and happy for you, so just count on us! I'm sure eventually your parents will be excited, but I think it should have come right away and your way of telling them was just too cute. Hugs to you!

Thanks every one!! I think my parents still think of me as there little girl ( I am the baby)and it just came as a shock. She didnt like me telling her that I have knows scent Thanksgiving, but I know if I told her 1st and not his mom or the other way around, we would hear bi$*#ing.... so I thought this way, I told every one at the same time..so at lest I would not hear anything about you didnt tell me 1st why (you know how familys are)..even thou it back fired and my in-laws opened it up WAY before xmas

I think she is just worried bc I am so far from home and I was born with heart problems..so they have to keep a really close eye on me.. and she dose not trust the Army Dr's as far as she can toss them. Which here the Dr's arnt so bad.. I think she will come around... Just a Big shock to her I guess... I am not to worried about it.. I am married and we are happy about it. Its not like I live with them or anything. She acted the same way when Russell ask them if we could get married, even thou she loves Russell...She didnt seem to Excited about it.. She just dose not take change to well, I think.
