Ugh, this reminds me of something we went through recently. A brother in law who was not a good person. We cut off all contact with him for 4 or 5 years. Then he got cancer and was dying a slow, miserable death. He needed my wife to be there for him, and he apologized for the wrongs he committed to us. We couldn't forgive him for all the bad things he'd done in his life, but we forgave him for what he did to us. We were there for him at the end, and all of us regretted losing that 4 or 5 years while we were estranged.

I'm not suggesting you forgive someone who doesn't apologize, just realize there is a cost. In this case, I'd hate to see you lose contact with your nieces. Maybe there's a way to mend enough fences to preserve that.

Good luck.

Ok the pp lady story. We had this little older lady who had a lazy eye. (No offense to anyone) She wore polyester pants, nurse type shoes, a down coat no matter how hot or cold outside and a scarf on her head. Her money was always kinda wet, I'm guessing sweaty because she would wear this coat in summer too. I hated taking her money. I always left all my customers to go wash my hands and I would hand my money to supervisor so it wasn't in my register. One day we saw her grab herself and sorta waddle to the bathroom. She left a trail from her chair to the bathroom Gross.

Now we know why her money was always wet.

Now you want me to tell you about birdnest girl? LOL or the 2 german woman who got into the fist fight?

Thank you being so kind......thats why this is so hard....and it helps that you know how it feels. It's really my mom that is hurting the most out of this. I would be so crushed not to ever see those girls again. It's just seems like we are all having trouble with my grandmother's death. We were all so devastated when she passed. She held the key to our family. My uncle was very close to his mother and I think she helped keep them together for so long, and now she is gone and he feels alone. He is very quiet and does not open up to many people. I think he just gave up.....he ran ragged raising those girls by himself basically and then grandma died and I think it was more than he culd handle. Maybe he will pop out of it....I know it's no excuse for the way he is dealing with this right now. Our main concren is the girls....they are themost important......Thank you making me feel better. I am so sorry to hear about your bro-in-law that must of been vert painful for you and your wife. I could not imagine......thanks for listening to me and giving me advice......

Ok, birdnest girl. We had a huge special and the place was packed. I was out doing my thing and walked by this girl in the back. She had long hair and it was a mess, like she just got up and someone spun her on her head like a top. I couldn't believe she would go in public without brushing her hair. Well as I walked by I noticed her hair was all matted and it had GUM stuck in all over!! Not just one piece mind you either. It was nasty. Of course, I had to go tell everyone who each took a turn walking by her.

These two older German woman were playing pulltabs. Holy smokes these woman are serious about their gambling let me tell you. I always want to say, you know there's an 800 number for people like you. (There really is too, it's posted by the pulltab stand). hee hee These woman bought their stuff and one lady won like $50 bucks. The other woman was bent, she was like you German bit**, you Natzi cow, and stuff. They were screaming at each other in mixed english and german and the other woman pop knotted her. LOL Hilarious.

Let's see, I worked there for 16 years. I'm sure if you need more cheering up I could come up with a few more stories for you. Keep smiling and take care of yourself and your mom. Best wishes with your aunt.

Whitney

one I was eating a resturant with a friend and their was an elderly couple sitting at table next to us.... and while they were waiting for their food.....the lady was drawing her husband and he did not know....and then he leaned over to see what she was doing and he found out and got bent! he grabbed the paper tore it into pieces and got up and walked out....They like had to be in their 80's....I was oh my OMG!

Oh funny. Once, when I was way younger (17) and didn't have my social skills yet. cough cough. We went to a nice dinner. We got our soup, gross, our salad, which was acutally a basket of carrot and celery sticks, weird, and then after the soup we got these miniture sherbet ice cream cones. Now keep in mind when I get really nervous, I laugh inappropriately. Just something I do. Anyway, about this time we noticed that the lady at the next table was discussing her sex life, in extreme detail with her friend. then there was another family table little farther over. Grandpa had gone to the restroom and was headed back to his table.... (ok here the punch line) he was headed straight for our table because he saw the reflection of his table in the mirror behind us and got confused. Guess what I did? Yep, laughed, out loud.
