| I've had enough with my camera . . . the shutter speed is way tooo slow and I cannot get great macro shots . . . so, I finally decided it is time to get something that will do the job so I can take better pictures of my furbabies and of small objects like my clamp style clips. I had been envious of my Sister's Cannon SLR rebel when she came to visit over the summer. I got tickled when she had pondered the idea of selling it to me so she can get the latest and greatest . . .well, I waited, and waited and waited. She finally decided she did not really need an upgrade at this time so, what the heck, I ended up just getting myself one over the weekend I am very excited to try it out . . hopefully this weekend . . . but boy, soooo much to read. Anyone has the same camera and willing to share some tips . Maybe this way I can get away with NOT reading the manual. |

| Congrats on your new camera! Most digital SLRs have an Automatic mode too, so you can start off using that until you know each and every setting... I bet we'll be seeing a lot of new pictures shortly! |

| I have the Canon Digital SLR Rebel XT! I love the camera but I am afraid I have still not mastered the manual exposures. Thankfully it has the Auto mode and I also use some of the preset exposure modes like sports and portrait. I need to take a class though. My picture taking skills need a lot of help! Good luck with yours!

For now it will be on auto mode until I can find the time to tinker with the manual mode. I purposely wanted this camera for the "sports" feature and the "Macro" features. I am excited that now I can capture Annika's finest shots easily . . . can you believe I can take 3 shots in a second . . .that is pretty awesome! My hubby found someone on e-bay selling it at the same price I got but with all the accessories I told him to e-mail that seller and ask if he is unable to sell the complete set tht maybe he will sell me just the accessories I seriously need a tripod so I don't have to hold the camera while I try to get Annika's attention and make her pose for me I will surely tinker away this weekend! I feel like a pro just holding the camera | |
