| An answer on the great debate- Keep the baby, or adopt out? Okay, I believe I've finally decided to go ahead and.... KEEP THE BABY. It's not going to be easy, on the flip side it shouldn't be too terrible either. The father still wants nothing to do w/ her (did I tell you guys I found out it's a little girl?) and myself. In fact I told him Thanksgiving morning. He was polite about his reaction and gave me a hug. I fear that'll be the last hug I get from him. We'll see. Loads of drama and I'm trying not to stress out any further. I know the unborn child doesn't need that. It's cramped, no doubt, in there as it is! lol NO ADDED PRESSURE NEEDED! So, I guess the next step is thinking of names? (If already begun taking care of the true next steps and those are financial and legal ones, but I'm looking on the bright side!) I am thinking about Taylor Anne and then my last name. Any thoughts on Taylor for a first name? I'd definently like to try to keep the middle name Anne as it's both my middle name and my mothers. We're trying to get yet another family tradition started. Thanks for all the advice and support everyone!! You're better than most of the baby forums I belong to! lol |

| Two things come to mind: 1. Ann Taylor (as in the clothing store) 2. I work at a school and we have a lot of boys AND girls named Taylor. Of course this isn't a huge deal, but when someone comes in and says they want to pick up their child "Taylor ____" we have to look the kid up before we say something like "I'll call her (or him) down" because you never know. Some parents get very offended. Some don't care. It's hit or miss. Otherwise, I think that is very pretty. And I do like Anne with an E.

| I love then name Taylor. And I assure you that the rewards will far outweigh the hardship of being a single Mom. Good luck to you. I hope all goes well and the father doesn't end up causing problems. It sure caused a lot of problems when they started giving fathers RIGHTS. LOL Just Kidding. |

| JeanieK, lol, yeah...I think he's entitled to them, certainly. I wouldn't expect anything less from him than for him to cover his own a$s. I think I'm to the point now where I feel like I did everything (within reason...i.e taking the pill) to prevent having a child and he did nothing (i.e didn't steralize himself or always use a "rain coat")...he was just along for the "safe trip". And NOW I'm also taking further responsibility and he's STILL taking none just because I chose not to sweep this "accident" under the carpet-as it were. Anyone know a good lawyer in Illinois I should contact? I've got one I'm supposed to talk to tomorrow, but if there's a referal on here that'd be great! Thanks guys! |
