| Designer dog prices...... My FIL is buying a puppy for my MIL for Christmas. He has found a Morkie for $950. Is that not outrageous? Granted, two very expensive dogs were bred together, but he could get a pure bred for that! For those of you who have Morkies, Yorki-poos, Malti-poos, what did you pay? Elvis is a Yorki-poo and we only gave $400 for him.

| I agree it seems crazy but some people wnat the "designer" and not a purebred. they just buy it cause they like the looks. |

| Just a Little Insight Hybrids, Designers, Crosses, or Mixes...whatever you want to call them, are priced differently by different breeders. Mine are priced according to projected adult size, color and sometimes sex. Some folks look for Poodle mixes because of allergies and such. Their doctors recommend them. Just a little insight..... Thanks, Teri

| Try adopting, or even looking in the classifieds. When I look online, I always see mixes for almost $1,000 or more, but in the newspapers I see them for only a couple hundred.

I Love Thor Donating Member | I don't understand how they go for so much either. I think the tip about looking in the newspapers is a good idea though. That does seem to be true! |

| The prices are so outrageous. I know this might offend some people but, personally, I don't think most designer breeds look very attractive as adults.
