| i have a mixed breed yorkie pom and people love her, they think she is goregous and i have been offered triple what i paid for her. i would not pay more than 500-600 for a mixed breed or designer breed, but then again if it is something i like or want then i would pay for it..we got be honest the designer breeds are extremely popular and yes there are tons a pups at shelter, but where i live there are never any cute small mixed or purebred dogs, usually lab mixes shepards mixes etc..and no offense because they are all cute but thats not what i would have wanted, you have to PAY for what you want. then if you find something on say petfinder 9 times out of ten they cost the same as a akc, ckc registered purebred good line puppy or have all these stipulations, location, time, kids, age, blah blah...so for people who have kids cant usually adopt from small breed rescue groups, i do understand their reasons and their prices but it makes the decision to buy one some where else a little easier... but i dont like when people are rude about the mixes, for example im looking for a yorkie puppy right now..the first lady i talked to turnened me off instantly because when i was telling her about my mixed yorkie pom she said that is disgusting and why would some breed them and why would some one take them..(people like her flood the shelter, in my opinion) and of course she was a very picky person her stipulations to me were off the wall but she lost me with the digusting part...The designers are a big thing right now..got to admit it..it is not like getting a regular heinz 57, people are breeding them because people want them |

| knowing what I know now and living with my babies... I would pay a ZILLION dollars for either one of them... I truly beleive "someone got in the henhouse" with Tooties mommy.. It really appears that he has some poodle in him.. I paid alot less for him than I did Hope but it would not have mattered what she was, I would have paid the same.. I wanted a baby girl YORKIE but I think the ATTACHMENT I felt when I saw her made up my mind for me... Just for the Record, I TRIED for months to rescue a baby and got refused by everyone for one reason or another or just didnt get a call back.... I am glad I have my babies no matter what the cost.... d

| WOW just chiming in ...Not really sure if I have anything to say that hasn't been....have been reading and lurking since I am new here... My gal (yorkie)Hermionie got loose and tied with a poodle so we are having yorkiepoos any day now.... I did a search with yorkiepoo on here and this was one of the threads shown I did check our local shelter for over a year for a small breed of dog...mixed or what have you before I got my Hermionie through a friend ...There were always alot of really big dogs which we could not have. I didn't have to pay a penny for her because the family just couldn't deal with her need for attention lol I love it myself I have no papers on her...they never offered any, and I didn't think to ask...So I am figuring that I will not even try to charge any certain amount for any pups.... As of right now we don't even know how many we will have and I am keeping one for sure
