| I need you guys!!!! Ok so my 1 year anniversary is coming up with my b/f. He's planning the weekend but I don't know what to get him as a gift. I was thinking of getting us either a couples massage or some ballroom dancing lessons. Is that totally cheesy?I dont' know if guys are into that stuff and we've never really talked about it so I don't know if he would be cool with it. He would just to make me happy but I really want him to love his gift. Please be honest, it won't hurt my feelings. I would love suggestions too. He loves sports, is very active but we've already gone to a ton of games and stuff. What do you think??

| What about an i-pod with your "song" already programed in it, that could be cute!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Girl - I can think of alot to do but most is NOT G rated - I was going to say one of those all night 'hot tub' things but I remembered your b/f is a clean freak - I seriously doubt he'd want to do something like that - the massages sound REALLY good and you both get something out of that...hint hint the other thing that came to mind is you can rent some airtime - most all Flight schools/charter companies offer time in the air via Gift Certificate - where YOU can even take the controls - it's more affordable than you'd think - you could probably do 1/2 hour for under or around $100

| What about a nice watch? I got Jim a Movado for our 2 year anniversary and he loves it. Or what about some sexy lingerie? hehehe Ok seriously, what about an official jersey of his favorite player or better yet, make HIM a scrap book!! Jim did that for me for our 1 year anniversary and I just about died. It was full of pictures, movie stubs of movies that we went to see together, broadway ticket stubs (like of Aida and Beauty and the Beast), a rose from the first dozen roses he ever bought me pressed into the book, a pair of chop sticks I used when we went to this really trendy Japanese restaurant and just anything else that we collected together. It was so awesome!!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Guy's perspective: I wouldn't encourage you to surprise him with ballroom dance lessons. If he's not into it, it could turn out to be a horrible present! But they are very cool and something you guys should talk about. My wife and I recently took a couple classes through the rec department because private lessons are incredibly expensive. I didn't learn much, lol, but the time together was good for us. Of course, I'm 50, she's 47, so our interests are surely different than yours. As for what to get him, the couples massage sounds cool and unique. Or, better yet, a massage table and a book on massage.

| I am a firm believer that the way to a man's heart is through his tummy. Cook him his all time favorite meal and treat him to a night of wining and dining at home. I know you said he already has the whole entire weekend planned, but maybe you could do one night during the weekend and he could plan the other night or do it on Sunday night on the weekend of your anniversary. My hubby always likes things that are more thoughtful and take some effort than just going out and buying him something material. On the massages or ballroom dancing, it really just depends on your bf. Gina said that she and her bf LIKE to dance and take lessons. And my Dad loves getting massages as gifts. However, my hubby would not like either of those things. So, it really just depends on your bf whether he would like either one of those gifts or not. |
