| I'd paint all the furniture glossy black. All you have to do is sand some, prime, and paint.

| Thanks for your ideas......we were just talking (on the way back from the vet) about painting the furniture black. --and on some, do the doors in a creamy outline. (if that makes sense). I will post pictures when it is done, but we are far from done yet! I am hoping to be completely done by Christmas.......I know, it shouldn't take so long, but we have to do it between everything else. Whew!

| just fyi... painted my guest room with glidden and to tell you the truth, it sticks. my poor boyfrient had to go over the whole room twice.... it may be a cheaper paint, but its not worth the trouble....the underneath color was only white.... and the gallon was gone for such a little room... |

| Ummmm....I will look into the paint.....thanks for your thoughts and ideas. I had heard the same thing about the glossy black (showing all the little imperfections)....it is pretty though and looks great....but in a girls room w/ lots of friends over and dogs, we might stick to the satin finish..... Oh, thanks for the cd idea....I will look into more too....I found a sherwin williams online site, but it of course wasn't a picture of our room....just a standard room (but you can change the style: modern, contempory, etc). I will keep looking.....I know w/ paint it can be easily recovered....I just honestly hate to paint....there is just something about painting that I am not too fond of! HA!

| Painting is the worst.. esp. the edges of walls. Personally, I think it is worth it to pay someone to do it. When I moved into my new apartment, we had someone come and do it before we got in furniture in.

| I found these on sale the other day at Hobby Lobby (each pkg. was only $1.50).....thought that was a good price and they were cute....and of course, would match the room. Me problem now is that I do not know what to do w/ them or where to put them....... Can someone please help?? They are Etcetera Brand "Dimensional Ephemera" - they are thick sturdy cardboard type shapes and all sizes! Project132.jpg - Trip to Paris (17 pieces) Project134.jpg - Le Boutique (26 pieces)

| I would glue magnets to the back of them and put up some kinda metal bulletin board in a nice frame (maybe black) in her room so she can put of all her favorite pics, papers...... using the paris magnets. |

| Ohhhh....THAT IS GREAT!!! I didn't think of though, duh!!! WONDERFUL! THANKS! Any other ideas for them? I did just have a thought.....since I know I won't use all of them for magnets, I thought about using a few to put on a cover of a binder or folder where she can put all of your design drawings and pictures and magazine cut outs in. (you know, she is sooo into fashion design)!!!

| What if you got a tray (like the ones intended for breakfast in bed) and painted it and then doucapaged (sp?) them onto the bottom? If they are really think, you could put a piece of glass/plexiglass over it, but if are about cardstock paper thick, I don't think the glass would be needed. Also, if her room will be ready in time for Christmas decorating, you could attach a metallic thread and use them (probably just the bigger ones) as ornaments on a small Christmas tree. To make the backs more attractive you could take a better piece of paper, trace the cut out, and glue it, sandwiching the thread hanger.
