| I need to vent!!! So a couple weeks ago my husband had to take a week off cuz his mill he works at shut down. needless to say that because of it we cant pay our bills or rent this payday because instead of a full 2 week pay check plus overtime, we have a week with no overtime on this check. we decided since our daughter is 3 she needs a costume and so we broke down and bought her one. it was hanging on my fish tank stand in front of fergies cage and so i left to take mckinzys costume back to walmart. rylees costume wasnt even touching the crate at all but somehow while we were gone, she managed to pull half of the costume and the accessories that go with it through the front of the crate and she tore it to shreds...im so mad. this has been the roughest week ever...my kids both are still kinda sick with the flu. they both have diarhea and i was up every 45 min with mckinzy last night changing her diaper. needless to say because of it she is VERY raw and screams bloody murder when i change her. diaper rash cream and every other thing i have tried hasnt helped her so i have been not getting any sleep, and i have been listening to 2 screaming kids and cleaning up puke and poop for days lmao. the whole costume just was the icing on the cake. im furious because now i have to tell my hubby that the pup ate rylees costume which he is gonna FLIP, and now because of only having one week on his paycheck, we already had to splurge and buy her costume once, now we dont have the money to get her another one. we have no one that we know that has an old one we can use. our only options right now i guess is to break down and buy her another one which we REALLY cant afford because like i said, we cant even pay rent right now, or she just doesnt get one and cant really celebrate halloween. i really dont know what to do now. i know my hubby is gonna flip his lid when i tell him. im sick to my stomach right now because this is really the first halloween she has actually understood what was going on and she gets cheated out of it because somehow fergie decided rylees costume was dinner lol. and of course its our fault for one because the costume was there but for two we cant afford to buy her another one. ok im done lol...im sooo upset right now i just needed to vent a little. thanks for listening

| I am with you. I have been so stressed out latley as well. I currently cannot work because of my husband being disabled, and we have 5 kids (2 from his previous marriage, he has full custody) and 3 that are ours together. There ages are 16, 15, 7, 5, 3. When one gets sick so does the other and me staying at home and taking care of everything is harder than a full time job! I am so sorry about you being stressed. Besides my yorkie we have a boxer, 4 birds, 4 cats, and fish (and a friggin partridge in a pear tre) lol. Sometimes i think when its bad it will only get worse, but it does get better. And thanks for venting on here i wanted to reply just to let you know there are people on here to talk to (and vent) about other things besides our babies!

| I DO feel your pain..... we are in some financial binds right now too and it just seems sometimes like you will never get over that hump. Hang in there. I can say all the usual things that you hear but you've probably heard it all. You'll get past this, I promise. Sounds like you may have the costume problem taken care of so the other thing that really jumped out at my in your post was the poor baby's diaper rash problem. One word for you.... AQUAPHOR!! I swore by that stuff when mine were babies and gave it to all expectant mothers at baby showers. It's sold in smaller tubes or a big tub. I bought a big tub of it when my first-born was a baby and you know, we just recently used it up (mine are now 10 & 12!!). It not only can heal diaper rash within a day usually, but is also great for face rashes (when the drooling starts or during cold weather). If you don't see it on the shelf, ask the pharmacist. They use it for bases in a lot of medicines. It looks like Vaseline but is actually a medicated ointment. Please try that if you haven't already!

| ACK NO Cornstarch breeds more rash. I had 7 kids and EVERY one of thenm had a super sensitive diaper rash butt up to age 3-4. After lots of trail and error and questions to Drs. we finally found a MIRACLE. It's called CALDESENE and it's a powder in a pink plastic bottle. They sell it in places like Walmart or CVS . Just sprinkle some on each diaper change and it will help SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Much. Corn starch and Talc are no good. Did you know the critters causing most rashes actually FEED off that stuff and breed. It's like FOOD to them. Caldesene is like 6 bucks a bottle but WORTH every lickin cent!!! One time we found it at a dollar store and bought EVERY bottle they had for $1 a bottle. I wouldn't worry about your 3 year old daughter. I'm sure you could do homemade costume SO EASY. She will probably be wearing a coat so why not just do the good old CLOWM. use lipsticks and eyeshadows to clown her up and just put her hair up crazy in barrettes or bands with maybe strips of colorful old material tied in. or even some yarn tied to pigtails!!!
