| PUPPYMILL shut down i posted this in the Southeast forum, but I thought everyone should know... a 69 year old woman in Hendersonville, Tn (Sumner county) got shut down for running a puppymill. she had 400 dogs !!! It was on channel 5 news tonight. (Friday 10-20-06) they siad she had all the small breeds, i didn't see any Yorkies on the news, but she proabaly had some. The dogs are not ready for adoption yet because of the investigation. I wounder how she had that many?? Didn't she ever SELL ANY PUPPIES?? A neighbor turned her in. Did any one else see this on the news?? |

| I have been gone all day so I didn't see the news. But my dad was JUST telling me about it. So I went to the news site and then here.. I'm thinking about calling tomorrow to be put on the adoption list. I have to talk my parents in to it first! Lol. Here is a link to the story... http://www.newschannel5.com/global/story.asp?s=5569295 |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | GOOD !! you wondered why she had so many ? She probably sells to pet stores & brokers - and just keeps breeding those poor dogs...that's what those coldhearted evil people DO for a living - ONE DOWN - Thousands more to go |

| I called this morning and put my name on the waiting list. The guy answering calls didn't know what kind of dogs they had because since there were so many they have them in a warehouse sorting out the sick from the healthy. But they said they would call me back in about 2 weeks. Poor Puppies. |

| that is disgusting... How awful for these poor dogs, it is so disturbing to think of any animal living this way. What I want to know is..how can you have 400 animals and when they bust you for it you only receive 6 violations of animal cruelty...according to the news website. Just doesn't make sense to me

| I read online that 100s of people have came to her house and bought a dog. How could anyone not realize.."hey this is inhumane". I could not imagine going there to buy a dog and seeing stacks and stacks of cages!!! I also read the neighbor had been contacting authorities for YEARS. |

| YEA!!!!! I just hope they can find more charges for that woman. If they would start really sticking it to these people, it might make others think twice before doing this kind of thing!
