| YT Prayers Needed So this may seem like a really silly request but on Friday my bar results come out, and i was wondering if I could avail myself to the power of yorkietalk prayers...The exam was an awful experience that I care not to repeat and with literally thousands of dollars of vet bills for Bruce now on credit cards if I do not get my license and start working soon the situation will not be good... The exam was 3 days 8 hours a day...I felt pretty good about it at first...Then midway through the first day my computer screen just went black while I was furiously typing. I raised my hand as instructed to do in the event of technical difficulties, that is when the exam went down hill, it was a picturesque disaster really...We were sitting in rows that were marked by seat number and row letter...It was very cold in the room and I had the hood of my sweatshirt up and as soon as I put my hand up I heard "technical difficulties, the girl in the white hood in row KKK" suddenly all 800 test takers were staring and despite all the attention no one was able to get my computer to work with the exam program for 36 minutes. I lost this time, fell behind, and just had to try my best, but I do not know if it went well... Which brings us to today, I am unable to sleep or eat thinking about the results, I worked so hard, and I cannot even think about how bad it will be to go through that again. It is actually a very emotional experience and extremely stressful. Please help me to pray I passed folks, or at least I have the strength to deal with it if I did not...

| Allison I bet you did just great! I've come to learn that things always happen for a reason and in God's timing. I will Pray for your passing of the test. I know how stressful this test can be. Keeping you in my Prayers tonight.

| Good luck and congratulations on just making it to the point to even being able to take the test! Just tell yourself, that nothing is going to make Friday come any quicker so just relax. Adopting the discipline to only worry about things you can do something about really helps to lower stress. |

| Results are in, and they are mixed! The exam is sectioned off into two parts (1)substantive, and (2) Professional responsibility, and you have to pass both. I finished in the top 10% of all test takers in the substantive portion (phew because this is the 2 day long portion, and now I never have to retake it), but I failed by 1/2 point the other section (where I had the computer melt down), but I have an automatic appeal because due to my substantive portion scores they feel I deserve to have it looked over again. Please pray for my appeal. I had found a job and Bruce and I really need the money, and if I have to retake PR I will lose the job, and I really want to be sworn in with everyone else. I am losing it and I need prayers!!!!!!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I totally missed your original post! Now I feel guilty, because I KNOW happy thoughts from Alaska would have given you the extra 1/2 point! Allison, you are brilliant. You have nothing to worry about. First of all, a huge percentage of those taking the bar fail their first try. But you did GREAT. You should win your appeal without question. That's ridiculous that a computer malfunction could happen during such an important test. If you fail, SUE THEM!
