Moving 2 Puerto Rico! - YorkieTalk.com Forums

So I decided that I will be moving back to Puerto Rico over the summer. I will be living with my family in Rio Piedras and will be attending the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras

. I'm soooo excited. Rio Piedras is sooo beautiful and green with lots of breeze!! My family lives right in the Campo (country) with lots of land. So hopefully I can find my furbaby by the time I move out there!

im puerto rican and colombian but i have lived in PR and only visit Colombia. what part of PR are u from?

Oh I love PR!! I went there last year to visit my best friends family in Cayey! Its such a beautiful place

I was gonna go 2 the university in cayey! it is GORGEOUS!! and tuition is only $1200 per yr

If I told you how much I paid for college you would probably be physically ill! What are you going to major in? Best of luck to you! College was the funnest time of my life.

the cost of living is so much cheaper in PR! and their colleges are great! i will probably major in Biology with hopes of going on to Medical School and becoming an OB-GYN later on.

I've wondered if there are differences in different parts of the world in the types of Yorkies produced?

For example, are the Yorkies in Europe quite frequently larger than those in the US? Good luck & God bless.

I have no idea of yorkies in PR. I'm hoping to get one from the states before I move out there. Honestly, I dont trust buying a dog in PR. People tend to let their dogs lose and run wild, and everytime I'm driving I see a dead dog on the street. It's so sad!! My grandma (r.i.p) used to always take dogs off the street because they looked so skinny and unhealthy and she would take care of them. Most dogs out there are mutts.

I've wondered if there are differences in different parts of the world in the types of Yorkies produced?

For example, are the Yorkies in Europe quite frequently larger than those in the US?

I'm always curious in the history of people - How do they decide to come to the US? and what makes them decide to go home? Especially if your family is still there, what made you want to come here? I hope I'm not appearing rude. I'm not critical, just curious (nosey???)

So sorry for the double post, I must have sent before I was through. That is probably kind of like engaging mouth before brain is in gear. I seem to do that a lot.

I'm sorry to hear that dogs don't seem to be truly appreciated in PR. Maybe you are better off finding your pup before you go. Sounds like even with some of the breeder issues we have, it might still be safer to get it here.

If you take one of our American citizens out of the country, though, you have to promise to teach it the Star Spangled Banner.

Yeah, I know I'm not really funny. My kids tell me that all the time.

. well my mom is puerto rican and my dad is colombian and they met here in the states. my dad was an immigrant but him and my mom married. my mom had came to the states to get away from an ex husband and my dad came for better work. but we didn't have any family in the states so we always traveled to PR and Colombia. then my mom decided to go back 2 PR and live out there. after 3 years we came back 2 chicago again. but now that it is about time 4 me 2 go 2 college i decided 2 go back 2 PR since i have always heard great things about UPR and their science programs. now my parents and my brothers and sisters are considering moving back out there 2

i really hope they do!!
