| LOL, family...you can always count on them for an opinion can't you? We also had a classic car show in our town on Sunday, and we took the puppies with us. Cooper drew tons of attention, everyone wanting to know what kind of dog he is. (He's a Morkie) But I think there again it was the ears that drew their attention to him in the first place. People will always have preferences, but I know with my babies, I really don't care...they are both special in their own way and I prize the differences between them actually. I also think with some people's questions on the ears standing, people think that is how they are supposed to be and those having new puppies get concerned if everything is not the way they "thought" it would be. It's the same with little skin babies...when your babies don't do everything right to schedule, such as rolling over, sitting up...you worry if everything is all right. As you have more children those worries lessen and I think it is the same with new puppy parents...

| It seems to me that when we all first join YT we usually have puppies and have the usual questions: size, ears, potty training, bathing/grooming frequency and shampoo types, the first vomit, bout of diarrehia, time not eating, etc. Maybe we should have a "resource" page with all of the most commonly asked questions. Not that I mind all of the questions on YT - it entertains me at work all day!!!!

| People pay a lot of money for yorkies and they just want them to have their ears up...there's nothing wrong with wanting their ears up. |

| Thank you! Thank you for your opinion. My Izzie will be four months old on the 6th of October and I see not one sign of her ears standing and really don't mind if they do or don't. I know as a new owner you do want to obtain as much information as possible about your new little friend but I personally think my Izzie is Perfect with her ears the way they are. I do agree with you with if you are not showing your dog then does it matter... Anyway, thanks again for your opinion it kind of worried me reading a lot of ear obsessed questions when it had never really crossed my mind. |

| I think people want to know about the ears and size because when you think of getting a yorkie everyone wants one that is to the standard of the yorkie. I know I had no plans on showing mine when I got her but I did want one that met most of the standards for a yorkie. I didn't so much care about the size as the coat quality/texture and the upright ears.

I agree. When I first started visiting this site, I was oblivious to the search feature. If I had a question, I posted it. I know probably every single one of my questions has been answered, but how was I to know? I was new to this site and still feeling my way around it. | |
