| OMG this happened to me last year. I washed my hubbies pants and he ALWAYS checks his owns pockets, puts his socks together (you know all the stuff you wish they would do..he does!!) and I didnt think to check his pockets. I always check my own and my kids but his I just dont think to check. Anyhow...I washed his fathers watch!! His dad died when my hubby was 12 so this watch is VERY VERY special..the worst part is..I DRIED it too!!! It is totally beyond repair but he wasnt mad TG!! He still keeps it of course even though it is not funtional...I think I was more sick about it than him...tell you husband to LIGHTEN up and tell him what I did!! He's lucky its only a phone and not a heirloom!! Oh...and tell him to check his own pockets lol... Dawn |

| Hes a big boy, you should not have to tell him to check the pockets. I told my hubby, the 1ST time I ever warsh his clothes, that if he leaves ANYTHING in his pocket and it get warshed.. its not my fault bc he is old enough to take his junk of out his pocket with out being told. If I can remeber to do it, I know he can remember to do it too. I am sorry you are having a bad day |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Hmmmmm...You asked him if he emptied his pockets and YOU got in yelled at ? Can I say this ? they are NOT children who need to be monitored - grown men should be in charge of what's in their own pockets....unless of course it's money - then hey - LEAVE it in the shorts !!! sorry you had a hard time I would try to explain to him that you trust his word when he said he emptied his pockets - and next time - maybe check ALL his pants just in case. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I agree ....and I was wrong when I said they are not children - they are. Ellen - it's only a Cell - hopefully he'll calm down & accidents happen to everyone like that. Tell him it's not the end of the world & it's not like you meant to put it thru the wash. Yelling and being mad won't change anything. Hugs to you ...you sound like you need one |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | awww I'm sorry! don't let it get to you. tell him that you trusted him when he told you there was nothing in his pockets. if he wants you to buy him a cell phone, buy him a fake one or something.

| He should be thanking you for doing his laundry in the first place! I would not have dealt with being yelled at over that! I think he should be more greatful. It was an accident and they happen sometimes. He should have emptied out his own pockets. I don't know how many times I've washed hubby's wallet, ear plugs, or money. I told him that he should have checked his pockets. But then again he hardly ever actually PUTS them in the hamper. I hope you get to feeling better. |

| I know this sounds crazy, but it may dry out and still work. I know more than one person who have either washed theirs or dropped their phone in the toilet and after it dried out, it worked fine. You just never know! Either way - IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!!! Men are just overgrown kids..........
