| Normally, I would have been at work, and there are only a couple of TVs in the whole building, so I wouldn't have been able to see much of the coverage. However, on this particular 9/11, I was at home taking care of my granddaughter who was sick and couldn't go to school. Thus, I was completely glued to the TV. It was so surreal, I couldn't believe my eyes!!!

| I worked at our local university and at the time, I was filling in at one of the dorm offices. Students came running out of their rooms and the dining hall, so all the tv's were turned on. No one could believe it! It was horrible!!! The phone swtich boards got locked up because of the calls coming in and going out! At lunch, I had to run errands and everyone must have thought about what would happen next (gas prices going up, bank problems, groceries, etc) because every gas station was packed (lines and lines of cars waiting for gas), the bank was packed (I guess people taking out cash) and the local Wal-Mart was packed (maybe people stocking up on groceries). So awful! Rest in Peace and May God Bless and Protect our Country!

| I was working Midtown Manhattan...I remember going up to our floor and everyone in the lobby watching tv...Only 1 plane had hit at the time...All of a sudden we were watching the screen and there goes the 2nd plane...Everyone jaws dropped...I ran to my office phone, because my sister worked 2 blocks from the Trade Center...I couldnt get in touch with her, so I panicked! I tried calling my mom (who was at work) and she was panicking too...Finally I got my sister who had to run with her co-workers out of the area into a bar...OMG it was one scary day... NYC was on lock-down...It took me 6 hours to get home that day..It usually takes me an hour on the train... I remember finally getting on the train and seeing what was left of the towers up in smoke It is something I will never forget

| I was on my way to Delanco, NJ to visit a friend to see her new litter of pups. I had howard stern on the radio (I dont usually listen to him) and heard about a plane crashing into the WTC. I called Mike at work and said to him what I had heard he had the same thing on and said this cant be real, upon listening to the radio I had heard another place crashed. I sat at my friends all day long watching it on tv with her. She lives near a base and all day long you heard fighter jets flying overhead. On my way home on 295 the road was completly empty and signs on the road saying all roads to NYC are closed

| Doctor's office getting a pregancy test. after arguing I had my tubes tied in the Navy in 98. and couldn't get preggers. so why waste my time and thiers on that. after all I was just sick all week with the flu. I remember getting the results back and being on the phone with my husband hearing the nurses screaming about CNN and the Towers, and what was once my favorite place to go when I lived in DC. and I had had some Dear friends that still worked in those offices. God Hold John,Mealline and Alice. God Hold Ya. Only Good that came of that day was I found out my daughter Abigail Marie was to be born. that's all. I remmebr calling my xCo and trying like all mad to find out who died if anyone I knew and what the hell was going on. and anger terrible anger. I was more mad at what happened at the Pentagon and NY,than what happened to me. innocents. hearing the innocent dying, hurt murdered. Mad me more mad and angery than I ever felt before. getting shot by a crook is one thing it's a game of cops and robbers and the good guy doesn't always win. but this wasn't something that could be controled atleast not by us. Hell I had a gun adn shot back.... they had nothing. nothing. made no sense. and the stuff of nightmares. God Have Mercy on those who left this world that day. sorry all this is depressing and one of the many reasons I don't watch TV or the news on this day. sometimes the good guys lose. |

| I had just started a new job a month prior. I was at a benefits orientation in a room that was on top of a mountain where you could see (far off) the whole city...and every plane in the sky prior to them being grounded. We all stopped and sat and watched the planes flying for about 30 minutes I guess. |

| I was off for a few days and was sitting on the edge of the bed, drinking some milk, and Muffin was lounging around on the bed, too. I already had the TV on CNN watching the news when they broke in with that report.

| I was in false labor. I was up early in the morning watching the news while I was having contractions. It was unbelievable to see the second plane crash. I will never ever forget that image. |

OH wow...you right there then.... I can't imagine what you and all those other people were thinking. Such a sad, sad day. Hugs to you and thinking of everyone that was there, and those who lost someone..... I think today is also a reminder that we are ALL still Americans and must stand together....UNITED!

| I was driving my daughter to work, and we heard it on the radio. I just didn't think it was an accident. When I got home, I turned on the TV and they were still saying it might have been an accident, then the second tower was hit. Next thing I knew, the Pentagon was hit. It was so shocking to actually see these events live as they happened. |

| I was at work, when someone said "turn your radio's on" the twin towers are on fire. Wasn't long before we found out it wasn't a fire. I was really concerned about working next door to the city/county complex, and really wanted to leave. I think they should have let everyone off work that day. Watching the news, brought tears to me even now, 5 years later. |
