How does the money order work, will you receive the funds right away? How does Pay Pal work? Does it go into your account immediately? Sorry that they put off paying you, that isn't right.

The funds aren't available right away for money orders, you have to mail it to the person and once the receiver gets the money order she or he can cash it or deposit it into a bank acct.
For paypal you have to set up a paypal acct on the paypal website you can either use a credit card or bank account, but the person that receives the money won't be able to see your acct info, they only get the money. A lot of people use that type of acct for ebay purposes. Somebody uthtere correct me if I'm wrong or add more info if needed. I set up mine long long time ago that I don't really remember the whole process.

I can't believe you lost 2 people because you wouldn't let them slide. That's just unreal. They are going to have a rude awakening at the next place who does the same thing you are. Good grief!!! I'm sorry. I would suggest having it in your contract or whatever you do that fees are due on the (blank) day of each month and for every day they are late it's an additional $10 or $25 bucks or something like that. If they go more then 7 days past due they are out of there. I know you are afraid to lose people, but you also want to set a standard. You don't want people who can afford to pay you. Like you said, you have a family to care for. Make some fliers and go out and get some more kids whose parents can pay.

Hey there - pay pal is so easy - you just set it up with your email address as your account - It's way easier than you think.

IO want to Thank all the ppl that has ordered some treats from me and your kind words!

I am a proud person this was hard for me. I have had ppl offer me a loan or just send money without wanting anything back. For those that did that I would really really like your address so i can send you something. I dont like taking handouts and to some ppl this may be the same thing but I want to atleast give something for your help! I really appreciate you all's help in my time of need and I hope now thiers somebody else that needs help I can help them just as some has helped me.

Aww. I just saw this for the first time and I'm tearing up at how nice so many of the people on here are.

I'm sorry your customers are treating you like this. Sometimes people just SUCK but sometimes it makes up for it when you have people like on here that form together to help others out.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I wish I could order some, but I already have lots. I might order some for my sister's rescue. But I have to save money for our big move coming up.
As for your DC problem, lots of people get paid on the 1st and 15th. Too many people are irresponsible and spend their entire paycheck before then (even if they have prior obligations.) It looks like this is what happened to you. People are also figuring that it's not as important so their spending the money on other things instead. If you let them get away with this ONCE, then they will do it again and again! They might even be telling each other that you don't seem to care of they're late.

I would suggest either making it more serious with pentalties or if you are afraid to lose anyone, change the due date to the 1rst of the month when people are more likely to have their money and charge them extra when they're late on it. They need to take your business more seriously like they would their rent or car payments. I am sure you're a wonderful babysitter and you will find other kids, I know a good babysitter is hard to find. Good luck.
